Just because you're narrow minded to look past your own misconceptions of other peoples ideas doesn't mean you should get so butt hurt then.
Then perhaps you should make youself more clear that just simply saying "the Sith should have been anti-Jedi".

I find it amusing you dislike supervillains that are evil for the sake of being evil, when in fact the vast majority of the villains of TOTJ are exactly that.
They aren't perfect, but their culture and their lore compensates for their lack of characterization. That's more than can be said for the TPM+ Sith.

Are those the same stories that have an entire Sith empire ( hidden somehow ) invasion of the Republic based around two lost hyperspace travellers? Written by the same guy who brought Palpatine back to life?
That's one storyline, yes, but not by the guy who brought Palpatine back to life.
Anyway, I don't find the writing of that storyline all that great, but I do like the general plot and some of the characters; for me, that's enough to save it.

Well DuracellEnergizer is in love with TOTJ. He would go as far as to piss on, deny and distort OT-inspired Sith concepts to protect his dear love. He "won't let" anything to use, evolve or tamper with his beloved TOTJ Sith... but he seems to be completely okay with the fact that it was TOTJ which took and deformed the original Sith concept.
:)
God, you have issues, don't you? For someone who pisses and moans about me being a broken record, you sure are one yourself, and a bigger one at that.

So having them originally be a race of creatures who are enslaved by exiled Jedi is in depth? That kind of contrived nonsense is actually of interest to you?
Personally, I'd prefer it if the original Sith culture/religion had come into existence independant of any Jedi influence, with there being no contact between the two until the Great Hyperspace War.

If that kind of shallow attempt at writing is what you consider interesting then fine. Personally I like to explore peoples motivations for their lust for power and control, rather than just throwing contrived set piece after set piece in a desperate bid to write terrible writing out of a corner.
Well, this is a different kettle of fish altogether, isn't it? I have absolutely no problem with exploring the motivations of villains who lust for control; my problem is with mustache-twisting supervillains who are merely evil for the sake of being evil.
Alright, Mr. Spock-in-the-middle-of-Pon-Farr, you want me to regard your points? Very well.
You say the Sith should have been nothing more than anti-Jedi who have no further motivation than to control everything they see. Well, that's what they've been ever since TPM came out, and I, for one, find that take on the Sith utterly shallow, boring, and two-dimensional. The Sith -- like any other villain(s) -- should have some depth and substance to them.
^I bet we'll see some cool* disembowelment-by-lightsaber action, too.
*And when I say "cool", I really mean "bullshit".
Completely humourless, too.
Yep, you definately woke up on the wrong side of the bed with a stick in your tuchus.
Woke up on the wrong side of the bed with a stick in your tuchus, I see.

The Sith should never of been a race with a such a convoluted back story, they should of simply been the anti-Jedi, a group of corrupt force wielders who used their powers for nothing but control.

I just realized that this means the Holiday Special is no longer canon! It's about time such silly things get bumped out of official continuity.
Damn, you're right! What a downright bummer!
Oh, well -- I'll just drown my sorrows with copious amounts of booze.
I'm a brother (figuratively and literally).
If Wookieepedia's going to divide their articles to distinguish the old EU from the NuEU, they should go all out and also divide their articles to distinguish pre-TPM EU from TPM+ EU.
Strange that someone would go to all the effort to bury a load of video games out in the middle of the desert.
Alan Rickman totally could have played Vincent Price in a biopic about the famous horror actor back in the '90s/early '00s. Unfortunately, he's probably too old now.

While I'm sad that certain aspects I liked about the Post-ROTJ EU are gone, I'm really happy that it's wiped out a lot of stuff I didn't enjoy (I'm looking at you, Karen Traviss).
Isn't most of her work pre-ROTJ? =P
I am currently inebriated, and I must say this: strong alcohol makes the fear of death go away (or at least makes it easier to bear).
Some more drawings of mine.
I found Vincent surprisingly easy to draw. Usually, I have trouble drawing faces that are on angles like this.
This is the poster for the Ep. I rewrite I’m currently writing. Obviously, it is based on the poster for TPM.
Unfortunately, the scanner picked up too many of the wrinkles in the paper, throwing the whole image off. Also, the lightsaber looks too red; it’s supposed to be pink.
Just a little tribute to Trance Gemini, the beautiful pixie I’m currently using as my avatar.
I’m very pleased with how this drawing came out. I’m reticent to use only pencil crayons in a drawing as they’re next to impossible to erase if I mess up, but I got incredibly lucky and everything came together with a minimum of fuss.
Something tells me that I probably won't even bother reading anything from the NuEU, especially if Ep. VII proves to be a disappointment.
I don't know why, to be quite honest -- it isn't as if I have any love for the cancerous growth that the old EU became. Something about it all, though, just screams "jumping off point" to me.
I just wish the PT was being tossed out, too, especially since it deserves the garbage heap far more than any entry in the old EU.
Hopefully, they'll included a Darth Sipid and Darth Ane in the new lineup.
When it comes to the EU, the TFNers are as in as much denial as Homer Simpson was in regards to a certain flying pig.
Laura Bertram
Not only do I consider her one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen, I consider her even more beautiful than Heather Langenkamp*.
*Didn't see that one coming, did you?
I love Anchorhead's new avatar.
