I liked Alanis Morissette more before I discovered Tori Amos.

Hey, how about we all stop being dicks to each other next year eh?
Sounds like an excellent resolution to me.
“Suede” – Tori Amos
With the arrival of the '70s, Mae Kent decided to take on a new look and a new alias to go with the new decade. Designing this costume, she ended her career as Supergirl and became SuperWOMAN.
A year following the Great Crisis in 1985, Superwoman took to wearing this more sombre costume in memory of those who had died in the multiversal cataclysm. It would remain her costume 'til her retirement in 1998.
^Sounds like another Lil Wayne in the making.
I hate humanity sometimes.
I have a modest fondness for most the prequel era comics published before AOTC’s release. There were still despised PT elements in them, to be sure, but Jedi still were allowed to have romantic relationships and wield lightsabers of various colours. Some of them, like the Ki-Adi-Mundi story mentioned above, I even consider part of my personal canon.
Wait, what happened?
[JEDIT]
Nevermind.
Frink and Dom show
MAN that is some nasty porn!!
Can’t we just call a truce? Warb mistakenly thought FFs post was meant to rib him, FF may have not taken into account that warb might not be thinking 100% rationally right now due to his recent loss when he complained about it. Small amounts of wrong on both sides. Shake hands and compliment each other’s hair and neckties.
+1
Since I don’t get many replies in the “Script Writing and Re-Writing” subsection, I figured I’d post this here.
I’ve started writing the screenplay for my Episode III re-write, and here is where I plan on introducing Palpatine. To build up his character, I wanted him to feature in a number of short scenes of him delivering political speeches – speeches which begin as hopeful and stirring, but become darker and more totalitarian with each new speech he gives. The thing is my knowledge on things political is extremely weak; I can’t write politicians.
I figured it would be best to use real-world political speeches as inspiration – speeches given by Hitler or Stalin or even a certain American president-elect. 😉 If anyone could provide links to transcripts or videos of the kind of speeches I’m thinking of, I’d really be grateful.
Here’s a couple:
Hitler Subtitled
Stalin Subtitled
Mussolini Subtitledand of course:
Oy, those horrible, horrible comments. Why do I keep forgetting to take Frink’s advice?
Thanks for the links, though. Some good quotes in the Hitler one, specifically (and Chaplin’s always awesome).
I taste spam. . . .
I don’t care for the Nightsisters. I didn’t care for them pre-TCW, I don’t care for them TCW-onward. They’ve made too many appearances – been referenced too many times – in the EU that they quickly wore out their welcome for me.

Huh?
Star Wars (1977)
This is the first time I’ve watched the movie since Ms. Fisher shuffled off this mortal coil. That knowledge didn’t impede my enjoyment of the movie any, but it was weird having it there in the back of my mind.
9/10
If I go to him for advice, Kirk will eventually steal my gynoid away from me and then she’ll self-terminate. Forget it.
I’ve been reading some of the old Marvel comics lately (got a big book of them for Christmas, just finished issue 12). Is it too much of a stretch to imagine that Crimson Jack got his ship from the Battle of Scarif in Rogue One?
Well it does fit Jack’s description of how he got it, so why not. It’s a pity it’s no longer canon because Jack hijacking a star destroyer at Scarif could have made a pretty interesting story.
(Btw, which omnibus is is that you’re reading? Hopefully it’s not one of those that stop right in the middle of a plot-line. The Doomworld story-line is fun, but in my opinion it only gets better from then on. All of the Goodwin/Infantino stories released prior to ESB are pretty great.)
It’s a good thing I ignore canon in favor of my own personal one, so into my canon it goes!
Where’s that Citizen Kane clapping gif when I need it?
But I have no knowledge of robotics.
With how often and how furiously he files his taxes, I’m surprised there’s still ink left in his pen.
Still haven’t watched Prometheus. Still glad I haven’t.
I’d like to know that, too, so I can avoid reading it by accident.
And if “George R. Binks” ever got made into a movie, everyone would finally have a Gungan to empathize with.
lol, Dammit, Bobby, get outta my propane!
Hank Hill would never laugh out loud.
has already be suggested.
Great drunk post.
Up your Fink.
