I thought The Witcher was very good, not quite great. It took a while for me to get comfortable with the non-linear storytelling. I’ll probably watch the second season.

Goes to show how much of a lazy/cheap hack Lucas is. Luke screaming as he fell down the shaft could’ve worked if Lucas’ gotten Hamill in to record it, or someone with a relatively similar voice. But no, he reuses the Palpatine scream 'cause he couldn’t be bothered to put the extra ounce of effort into it.

It’s always sounded like Palpatine’s ROTJ scream to me.

If you wanna go by current canon, a distinction is drawn between the Old Republic and the Galactic Republic. The Old Republic lasted a thousand generations; the Galactic Republic a thousand years.

Not bad. Could use a little editing, but it’s not bad at all.

It’s not “Bad” it’s more impossible. Not entirely so, but I imagine nobody would care enough to try to do that.

The first one is 6 and a half hours long. Empire is 5 hours, and Jedi is 3. That is a lot of animation.

Much of the radio drama is filler as well. The first 3 episodes of A New Hope are all set before the story of the film, and lots of stuff is added. I am sure some of it is worthwhile, but I think it is too much content to be worthwhile to animate.

Were it to be done, the audio would have to be cut down considerably, to keep it interesting to watch, and less work to animate. If we could convince Disney to waste a bunch of money animating it in 3D like the Clone Wars, that would surely be interesting. It would be a great resource for fanediting, at the very least.

Personally, I’d just animate the radio drama-exclusive scenes.

Upon booting up my laptop today, it created a loud, harsh hum. The hum subsided seconds later, but the laptop’s been behaving erratically as of late, so I’m afraid it may be nearing the end of it’s life. And I don’t have a backup computer.

I’m not planning on departing, but if I should vanish into the ether one day soon, that’ll be the reason why.

Because what you’re suggesting would remove the satire & therefore the entire point of the film.

The novel wasn’t satirical, so there’s merit to a “purist cut”.

When “turn off your brain and don’t think about it” seems to be the default answer for most questions regarding this franchise, it’s little wonder I’m a lapsed fan.

It’s for the best. I revisited the PT two years ago(?) after giving it a wide berth for several years, and it absolutely wasn’t worth it.

I went with there being multiple Jedi sects in my last rewrite, but decided against that this time around. This time, there’s just one Jedi Order — a Jedi Order divided between honest, good Jedi like Obi-Wan and corrupt, statist Jedi. After Palpatine’s rise to power, the fallen Jedi assist the Empire in wiping the others out. As the Jedi Purge is winding down, the Jedi Council decides they’d rather run the Empire instead of following Palpatine and stage a coup, which end’s disasterously for them.

And Leia definitely isn’t Luke’s sister.
