An update on my sister’s situation. She got out of the snow and out of the woods, only to crash into a camper on the way back. The jeep’s totalled, and my sister was drunk, so her license’s been suspended. It’s a miracle no one was seriously injured, especially since my sister’s friend wasn’t wearing a seatbeat when it happened.

My sister and a friend of hers went out this morning to gather wood from the forest. She’s been gone all this time and it’s almost evening, so I phoned her a little while ago; I found out her jeep got stuck in the snow off-trail and she only has a small shovel to get them out. I don’t know where they are or what to do or who I should call.

The moronic part is that Diznee paid 4 billion with a giant clause {I know, unofficial} that they won’t screw around with it. I pay 4 Billion, I’m doing what ever the hell I want to with it. Even if Disney pulls it’s head out of its @$$ and they do an OTC release in HD, I will stay with the DeSpecialized, 4K77/4K83 fan edits just out of spite. The fans that did those love the films and did that for the love of the work and care more about the actual films than the companies do. I don’t think you should blame it on the fans. None of the fans who hated Rey Nobody like Rey Palpatine. They see it for what it is: a misguided attempt to please everyone that resulted in the sequel trilogy having no clear direction.

They’re the cause, whether they like how it ended up or not. JJ and Terrio bought into the argument that Rey’s character progression should treat her like a video game character, not a human being. They ruined her arc for the sake of fans, and so every fan who complained Rey was “OP” deserved the shitty explanation they got.

Sounds reasonable.

That reminds me — I really should buy a copy of Spaceballs some time. Not because I like the movie all that much, but because I wanna own at least one Daphne Zuniga movie.
