I love how Hollywood consistently fails to get this character right. Unless you’re a fan of the Silver/Bronze Age Superman, in which case look no further than the Donner Superman. But if you’re a fan of the Modern Age Superman, specifically the Superman of the late '80s & '90s? No soup for you.

Species/subspecies going “extinct” through crossbreeding with other species/subspecies doesn’t really bother me.

Strangely enough, Highlander 2 is in the same boat as Star Wars. Yes, it’s available, but only as a ‘director’s cut’ with new CGI and stuff.

I guess I shouldn’t give up. Honestly, my biggest problem isn’t really with drawing figures; it can be a pain in the ass lots of times, but not that big of a deal. But I totally suck when it comes to backgrounds. My sense of perspective is totally shot. I should work on correcting that, but then again, there’s that issue with personal drive.

I’m not even joking about being a closeted nudist, BTW. I feel most comfortable without clothing, and I’d chose to go without clothing most of the time if the climate and the culture were conducive to it.

This is a depiction of Trance Gemini from the TV series Andromeda. This is how I imagine the character might’ve evolved if Robert Hewitt Wolfe had been kept on as showrunner – essentially the same character seen in the first season-and-a-half of Andromeda, just more mature and physically assertive.

I’m particularly proud of this drawing. I have a really hard time capturing likenesses properly; even when I resort to tracing, they often don’t come out looking right. Here, though, I feel I did an excellent job. She really looks like Laura Bertram, not some haphazard caricature.

I drew this back in June. It’s my last serious drawing, and will remain my last. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. I have the imagination of Dali and Escher, but not their skill; without proper instruction, I never will. So I’m putting down the pencil and calling it a day. I’ll be sticking exclusively to collages and photomanipulations from now own.
