Status Quo is God & Other Tales is why I no longer get invested in mainstream superhero comics. They make a pretense at having continuity, but everything gets retconned or rebooted or subjected to sliding timelines, so everything ends right back at Square 1*, making it utterly futile.
*Unless it doesn’t, which is a whole 'nother kettle of rotten fish.
Yeah, but cinemasins is trash. I tried watching their Stargate video, and wowsers, was it blatantly apparent they hadn’t paid attention to the movie at all.

His Man of Steel miniseries is much better than that story would have you believe. However, some choices were made in that mini that I’m afraid you would hate, even if I don’t mind them myself, so perhaps it’s best you don’t pick it up, or at least wait for the trade.
Sounds like a little investigation’s in order. . . .

Superman was an ordained Catholic priest. He took a demonically possessed teenage girl (who may or may not have been my sister) to a cold, dark, abandoned church with broken doors to perform an exorcism. During the exorcism, the demon periodically hopped into his body, using his great powers to wreck havoc across the land.
I’m going to leave out the sexy bits and focus on the nightmarish plot.
Oh please. Did we criticise Ewoks because of ‘toxic masculinity’? Did we balk at the plotholes created by the prequels because of latent sexism? Did we hate Midichlorians because it threatened the patriarchy? Did we cringe at Padme/Anakin’s romance dialogue because we’re trapped in some selfish power-fantasy? No, these were simply film critiques. Nothing more, nothing less. And despite a few racist/sexist imbeciles on the internet (which are everywhere - it’s not a ‘Star Wars thing’) TLJ is getting exactly the same treatment as every other SW movie. This ‘toxic fandom’ crap is getting old. We should be able, as fans, to discuss potential plotholes and canon discrepancies without being told by some sanctimonious article that we don’t understand the nuances of this brilliant film because we’re secretly struggling with our own deeply held sexism/racism.

Normally, I loathe — and I emphasize LOATHE — digital recolouring. But based on what I’ve seen of the original colouring, this simply blows that completely out of the water and right out of the sky.
