Yeah and it's really touching when you know that the show did have such a positive impact on Hartnell's life. His wife said that doing the show and seeing that he was a hero to children brought Hartnell out of a depression he had been in and despite how hard making the show was for him he was happy for the first time in years, and I think the movie does a good job of showing that.

It also did a great job of showing the problems Lambert had to deal with and the way it went about it I didn't feel like it was trying to make anyone look like evil villains or preach at the viewers,so a good job there too.

All and all this was a great and unexpected birthday present to the show.  My hat goes off to all those involved.

Time

I just watched An Adventure in space and time. I was only watching it because I wanted to be able to say I saw it,I wasn't expecting it to be good(After all I have read everything out there about the events that took place behind the scenes so,I figured it would hold no surprises for me)but I am happy to report it was really good.  It was well acted, had energy, and it left a tear in my eye.  For any fan of Doctor Who this is well worth seeing.  I have never been happier to be wrong about something.

Heller really showed his true colours this week and I hope he dies for it. He is a selfish man drunk on his own sense of power who doesn't give a damn about human life.  He has committed war crimes and when called out on it he has let other people die for his crimes,he has stood in the way of every attempt to stop these attacks not because he had bad info but because acting would cost him power and he would rather see people die then lose any power. When he talks about people dying he doesn't talk about the deaths themselves being tragic he talks about how it will cost him power. he doesn't care about any of the people who die and as long as he gets to keep his power and his life he doesn't care if the everyone in the country dies. None of this would have happened if Heller hadn't ordered the murder of children. His hands are just as dirty as the terrorists. If you ask me there are no good guys this season both sides are just as evil and I hope Jack takes them both down. I hope Chloe doesn't go back to being a government stood because it's clear Heller's government doesn't care about human life at all.

Last week jack showed that he was willing to die for a crime he didn't commit if it would save lives, this week Heller showed that he isn't willing to face the music for crimes he did commit and instead stood in the way of stopping the attacks and send men in to die just to save his own skin.

Instead of handing Morgan over to be tortured next week I wish Jack would just hand Heller over so that he could buy some time and end this.  If you ask me too many people have died for Heller already and he needs to answer for that.

I don't understand their complaint. Whenever I saw the last guy I had an uncontrollable urge to punch him in the face.

Really,Matt Smith?  He is one of my favorites and I think he played the role older then any actor since Hartnell and I liked it. At times I forgot just how young he was because the character felt so old and that was completely down to the way he played it.

I think what some people are forgetting is that people in their fifties can be active these days so just because the 12th Doctor will be played by an older actor there is no reason to assume he will play the part as an old man. Indeed there is every reason to believe he will play the reverse since The Doctor just got a new lease on life and it would contrast with the way Matt Smith played the part.

I can't wait for august.

X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014)

Wow. Fox finally got their crap together. This movie was exactly what this franchise needed. I'm actually looking forward to the next one.

Please tell me they finally made the focus of the story someone other then Wolverine,if they did that I would go see it in theaters.  I am just burnt out on all things Wolverine. It's the same with Batman in the DC universe. I don't hate either of them but they have been so over used I just don't care about them any more. I don't know if that makes sense to anyone else, but that is just how I feel right now.

Oh and the last movie I saw was Godzilla. I don't want to give away any spoilers so I will just say it was amazing and the fact that you almost always see him from the POV of a human at street level means you never lose your sense of awe or fear when he is on screen.

If you want to feel really depressed read the comments on the youtube page for the series eight teaser,it's full of teenage girls complaining that the series has been ruined because they cast "an old fart" as The Doctor.  I sure hope the fan base is broader then that and we don't see a huge ratings drop off just because Moffat didn't go with a pretty boy for the 12th Doctor.
