Yeah i have met real cops and each time it has been horrid.

The last time was when my brother took a friend to the emergency room, she had a history of drug use and had been found on the floor of her bathroom passed out and the cop who came in did his best to try and trap my brother into admitting something that would let the cop arrest him for attempted murder. He even went so far as to threaten to lock up my brother until he confessed.  This despite the fact that the girl had been brought in for this sort of thing before and my brother has never so much as gotten a speeding ticket.  All the cop cared about wasn't the truth but finding an excuse to beat on someone who had just tried to help another member of the human race.

Cops don't care about helping they care about throwing people in jail and finding an excuse to beat people up that is what they get promotions for not finding the truth, they couldn't care less about the truth of any case so yeah I have interacted with cops and found them to be drunk on their own sense of power and ready to abuse it at the drop of a hat.

I am sorry if this upsets you but based on my interactions with cops I have found them to be no good and I will never trust a cop as long as I live, sorry but that is just the way it is.  Maybe you are lucky enough to live in an area with good cops but where I live it seems all the cops are either dirty or just out of control so that is how I view them and I don't trust or respect them.

Yep, I was right. He's from an alternate, dystopian reality.

That's a true story and there is more to it.  My brother was 17 at the time and the cop wouldn't let him talk to my dad or a layer and when we tried to file a complaint we were told it was our word against the cops and even with witnesses the cop's word was what counted. I am not making any of this up. Cops are above the law and live to abuse people, that is what I have learned from my life so I'm sorry if you think they are all heroes good for you but to me the only difference between a cop and a crook is that a cop has a badge and can never be arrested for any crime.

I have more stories if you want them but I think you can now see where I am coming from and why I have no love for cops.

I think I can speak for everyone here when I say that we agree with you that cops should go on trial for murder when they do so, and I also agree with you that cops get away with a lot more than any normal citizen could dream of getting away with. The problem is, you lump all of the good cops in with the bad cops since they wear the same uniform. It's no different than saying all Christians are like the Westboro Baptist Church, or that all Muslims are like the terrorists, or that all football players are like Ray Rice

If there really are good cops out there they must be in hiding. Truely good cops would rat out the bad cops and get them kicked out.  If Cops want me to respect them then they would clean things up and insist that cops be held to the same standard as your average citizen but that is not what happens. Cops cover for each other and the ones that are not racist are on the take and working for the gangs.  They are nothing but thugs with badges.  I'll respect cops once I start seeing them go to jail for their crimes and stop gunning people down in the streets.

Until then I will regard them as the enemy of every decent citizen who doesn't want to be murdered or shaken down on the streets.

I agree cops covering for bad cops is and can a big problem.   However, for a cop to turn in another cop, isn't easy.   For them, it is like turning in a brother.   They have to trust each other with their lives.   If they can't trust each other, they can't do their jobs.  Its a lot easier for for us to say that cops should turn in bad cops then it is for a cop to so.   I do wish there was an easy way to change that culture, to make it easier for cops to do the right  thing.   I am sure many of them wish it was too.  Still this doesn't excuse the sick and offensive things you say about cops,  DrCrow.    I am very seriously considering putting on ignore until you apologize for saying this sh**.

So you are saying that it's okay for cops to cover up for each other because they feel close.  So you are in fact saying that cops should be above the law and allowed to do whatever they want with no penalty because they are cops and us lowly citizen can't question anything they do.

I just want them to face the same penalties for crime that the rest of us face but right now there is no way to bring them to justice because they cover for each other so until that changes I will not trust them.

Here is a thought why don't we have a federal agency that's only job is to investigate dirty cops and make the penalty for violating a citizen's rights life in prison? Dirty cops should go away for life and if it comes out that other cops knew about the corruption and didn't say anything they go away for life to. That way their desire to not spend the rest of their life in prison may outweigh their feelings of brotherhood.

Look Maybe you should ignore me since we are never going to agree.  You think cops are some higher form of life who the law shouldn't apply to and that anyone who says any cop is dirty is evil.  I think cops are most corrupt and drunk on power because they have been given way too much power and the citizens have no control over them any more. I don't think a feeling of brotherhood is a good excuse for covering up a crime and I think cops should face the same penalties as every other citizen when they commit a crime. You think they shouldn't.  I like you Warb but on this one issue we are never going to agree so I guess if you can't over look that then you should ignore me.

If you need to B*tch about something... this is the place
Time

The message of the movie is that woman should just do whatever men want and not think for themselves, that's pretty sexist if you ask me.

Also if you have to not think about a movie for it to work then the movie has failed. The problem is not with the viewer it's with the writers and film makers who should have given some degree of thought to what they were putting on screen.

If a 14 year old girl can spot the problem then there is no excuse for a highly paid writer and director who worked on the project not spotting it.

If you like it good for you but that doesn't mean the message is not there or it is a good message and people should not be required to become brain dead in order not to spot the message.

In fact if you do have to stop thinking about it to not get the message then the message is there you are just choosing to ignore it in order to enjoy the movie.

Now there is nothing wrong with that at all but there is also nothing wrong with people who spot the message and don't enjoy the movie because of it.

 Okay.

I AM GOING TO BURN DOWN AMAZON'S OFFICE AND PUT THEIR CEO'S HEAD ON A SPIKE AND THEN ROAST HIS CHILDREN OVER AN OPEN FIRE AND EAT THEM!

Is that better?

Beneath its veneer of good music, this is the story of Grease in a nutshell:

"I like you, Sandy, and you like me. Perhaps this could be the beginning of something beautiful!"

"Oh, but you're a wholesome, clean, all-Australian girl and I'm a greasy nogoodnik who hangs out with a bunch of juvenile delinquents! (Emphasis on juvenile.)"

"Time to put on my asshole face and treat you like shit. After all, I can't let the guys know I like girls like you."

"I like Danny, and I know that under the PRICKly exterior he's a pretty nice guy, but nothing is working out between us. What should I do?"

"Me and my girlfriends are going to mock you and beat you down until you get with the program, bitch!"

"I understand now! In order to be together, Danny and I don't need to respect one another's differences and love each other for who we are. I just need to ..."

"... change into a skank who wears leather and sucks carcinogenic toxins into her lungs."

"Watch us drive away into a future of unwanted pregnancy, mutual loathing, adultery, alcoholism, and possibly spousal abuse."

 LOL!

A few weeks ago my little sister who is 14 went to a sleep over party at a friends house and she came back complaining about this movie they watched that all the girls and the parents thought was so romantic,it took me a few minutes but I finally figured out she was talking about Grease.  She complained that she was the only person there who hated it and her reasons were the exact same ones you just listed!:)

Talk about a small world.

You want me to respect cops then take away their free pass to murder anyone they want and kick all racist cops off of the force.

A cop who shoots someone should go on trial for murder the same as any other citizen,if they were treated the same as everyone else maybe they wouldn't be so quick to shoot people forty times for having the wrong skin colour but that is not what happens. Cops are never arrested for crimes and every time a cop shoots someone we are told there is no way to prove he did anything wrong so he is allowed to get away with murder.  If a normal citizen shoot someone charges are filed but nothing happens to cops who kill, half the time they don't even pretend to investigate. Cops murder people every day and you want me to worship them as heroes?  Fat chance.

Now give the citizens power over the cops and stop rewarding them for shooting people and then I will respect them.

Until cops live by the same laws as the rest of us I will not regard them as anything other then monster who prey on defenseless people.

Clearly TheBoost is crucifying him with religious zealotry for no other reason than the fact that Ray Rice is black.  If he were a white guy, Boost wouldn't be making such an issue out of this.

Just giving Boost a hard time, since everything is racist to him :)

Call me when Mrs. Rice is shot 36 times while fleeing by a squadron of white cops. Then we'll talk.

This is a perfect example of why I cheer every time a cop is killed.  Cops are nothing more then racist thugs who are allowed to murder anyone they don't like.

There is no difference between your average cop and a member of the KKK.

We need to get rid of the police now, they are the single most blood thirsty groups of killers the human race has ever produced.  In fact I would not even go so far as to call them human, they are monsters who murder and nothing more. They shouldn't even count as members of the human race.

Some technical questions as regards new computer and various electronic devices.
Time

I don't know a lot about IPhones since I don't have one but I do have an iPod and if having music not show up in iTunes that is either on your phone or on your computer is the problem I had that same problem and I found a solution.

I don't know if this will work for your problem but I uninstalled iTunes and replaced it with this.  http://www.winamp.com/

It sees every music file on both my computer and iPod and lets me just drag and drop files both ways without a hint of any of the problems iTunes gave me.

As I said I am not sure it will work for you but it solved all my itunes and iPod related complaints.

Yeah I don't get it either.

We already knew he did it so shouldn't he have been fired even if their wasn't a video.  I think it goes to show that we mostly don't care what people do it's what they are seen doing that bothers most of us.

The NFL was fine with it as long as they didn't have to see it now that they saw it they are upset.

That is just stupid if you ask me.

Doctor Who
Time

Now that is more like it!

This is the Doctor Who I tune in to see every wee.  For the first time this season I liked The Doctor and he seemed to enjoy traveling and be having some fun. He used his wits instead of just waving the sonic screwdriver like a magic wand to fix every thing and he and Clara had some cemestry and were working well together.

They got the Robin Hood tone just right giving it bright colours and a sense of high adventure. This is the tone the Robin Hood show the BBC had a few years ago should have taken instead of the PC teen soap opera it became. This was everything I look for in a Doctor who story.

It had a fun story with good supporting character,an engaging lead actor who you want to go on the adventure with, and good Doctor companion interactions.  I know there are some flaws here and there but to tell you the truth I didn't mind because this story was such a huge improvement over the last two and it went a long way towards winning me over as a 12th Doctor fan.  I hope more episodes this year take this tone because this is what I love about Doctor who.  I would say that it is good enough that I could see it as an episode of the classic series, that is huge upswing. I am now looking forward to the rest of the season instead of just watching it out of a sense of duty because I am a long time fan so good job.

This is Doctor who the way i like it and so I am giving this episode 8.0/10.

This is an episode that I think even non fans would enjoy and if you didn't like the 12th Doctor in the first two stories as i did, this will go a long way to wining you over.  All and all a great effort and I hope this upward trend continues.

I love all these ideas!  make comics fun and dramatic while making them for kids again.

Oh and while dealing with marvel would you please undo One More day and bring back Spider-Girl,I really like her and can't stand that she was wiped from the time line.

I assume you're talking about the May "Mayday" Parker Spider-Girl, right? If so, then she wasn't actually wiped from existence 'cause she exists on another Earth seperate from the main Marvel Universe. She, her family, and her friends continue to exist as they are unaffected by the stupid "One More Day" fiasco

http://marvel.wikia.com/Earth-982

But yeah, I'd preserve the Peter/Mary Jane marriage and have their daughter live to become Spider-Girl in the future. I'd also completely re-do the Clone Saga to get rid of all the extraneous Jackal/Traveller/Spider-Skeleton/Norman Osborn junk and give Ben Reilly a more dignified send-off.

 Oh really?

Yes I am talking about MayDay,I read comics back in the day and I am now collecting them all and really enjoying them. One reason I hate One more day so much beyond it being stupid is that it seemed to wipe her from the time line.

See comics are confusing!:)  I have been reading them all my life and I didn't know that.  I just figured that when the marriage was broken up the daughter would never have existed, silly me.

I am liking your ideas more and more including your end to the Clone Saga.

Yeah you're right if we go that far next think you know they will be putting locks on the door so any tom, dick,or harry can't just wonder onto the bridge and take over the ship.  We can't have that sort of thing going on.
