Come down here and if you spend a couple of week browsing thrift shops you will find them. Maybe Canada banned them because people kept mistaking them for records. When I was a kid that is what I thought they were, I remember thinking that some family friends had a lot of film soundtrack albums and wondering why they had a record of the sound track to the Marx Brothers film A Day at the Races.

Yeah i was raised to think of all people as people so I miss a lot of racism because I tend not to think of people as their race, so I normally think a joke or something is making a statement about the character and not the race he belongs to and I have to have it pointed out to me that something racist is going on.
That said even I picked up on the stereotypes in Episode one, I am not sure how that got through production without anyone saying anything.

I will not list every time I have heard it but it seems like on every tv show or movie where a female character has a dead mother at some point someone always makes the remark that she looks just like her mother. What is worse is a lot of times when we finally see the mother in a flashback or a photo the actress playing the mother looks nothing like the actress playing the daughter, so not only is the statement cliched but it is also untrue.
I love Laserdiscs for one reason, the covers look awesome! I proudly still use my laserdisc player.

Really because it jumped right out at me. I mean the 2D version is at a completely different angle and it is so dark you can't make out the details are Rocket's face and it looks like he is standing against pitch black and not a room with stuff going on behind him. There really is no excuse for this.
Can anyone here tell me if the DvD version is okay? I really don't want to plop down money only to find it has the exact same problem.

Yeah and as Linkara said in that great clip that is your right because it is your money. I on the other hand am going to support the movies in the hope that the company will notice how much better they are doing and finally figure out that maybe if they made the comics a little more like the movies and ditched the dark and brooding stuff they will sell better.

Yeah in my dad it was understood that was part of growing up. So you either had to stop caring what other people said about you or stop doing stuff that got you made fun of. It's not perfect but then life isn't perfect and we understood that.
Well then I am not buying this full stop, I watch my movie in the living room, on my TV so there is nothing I can do to fix this.
Maybe a fan will upload a fixed version on a torrent site, but unless that happens I am not paying for this.

iWinsolft Free video converter does it for me as well as youtube video downloader. Still as I said I only do the simple stuff so this may not be what you are looking for.
I couldn't get in to see my doctor last week and get my prescription refilled because he was running 90 minutes late and he didn't call to tell me or anything and my mom and I had to go pick up my little brother and sister from school. I can't drive with my condition because my hands shake and freeze up randomly so I have to see him on days when I can get a ride so I will not be able to see him again until the 31st, so until then I am having to take a half dosage of my meds to stretch them out.
Now don't get me wrong my doctor is a great guy and he has helped me a lot, I mean he didn't charge me for two months when money was tight and he went to a lot of trouble to get my insurance to cover my meds when he did have to so he does care and I really like him but he is always running at least 20 minutes late. Doctor's offices charge you if you show up late so why can't the doctors themselves ever be on time?!

I was not saying it should happening I was just trying to move this thread in the direction of looking for solutions to the problem, I was not saying that these are the solution to the problem, just that they are one of the things we could do to stamp out the problem.
I really don't think talking reporting the bullies or teach them will help. The bullies I have met have always known they are not allowed to do what they do, that is why they stop when the adults show up, and they don't care about being put in time out or whatever teachers are allowed to do to them.
Sadly I think the only thing that would have stopped the bullies I knew when I was growing up would be a completely change of the culture combined with strict and harsh punishments that make an example of the bullies to other kids so they will be too scared to become bullies themselves. Still as others have said it may not be worth it.

As much as I love Spiderman(his comics are the first I ever read when I was five or so)I am kind of glad this didn't happen because 1)the Spiderman movies have no connection to the MCU so it would just be confusing for new viewers and 2)having Spider-man in Civil War opens the door for One More Day the movie and I really don't want to see that.
Okay this may not be what you want because it doesn't come with all of the options but I am just putting this out there.
I have Blurays of DSE of the Star Wars movies that I burnt and here is how I did it. I just converted the MKV files to HD mpeg2 files and then created menus and and chapter breaks for them on each disc using Sony dvd architect pro and while they don't have the sub tittle options because I don't like putting all that work into it I am sure if you wanted to there is a way to extract those and put them on the disc and it only has the surround sound audio track but it sounds great. I don't know much about formatting video files so I don't think this is what most of you are looking for but if anyone is just looking for a fast, simple way to get the movies onto a disc so you can watch them on your bluray player that is how I did it.

Yeah this is why I am sticking to the films and I am only buying my sister back issues of SpiderGirl that I have checked out. Spidergirl is her favorite character ever and this would drive her nuts.
You want to know why the movies are doing so well and yet the comics are selling so poorly, it's because the comics pull this kind of garbage that you will never see in the films.
I am going to send a message by only seeing the Marvel films that don't have this kind of garbage in them in the hopes that someone will get the message.
I really hope once all these idiots who started writing comics in the late 80s die of old age they are replace by people who came to comics through the films and have no interest in these so called "adult" storylines.
As an adult do you know what type of story lines I can relate to the most? It's not the ultra dark ones it's one the ones that focus on characters growing up and having to deal with adult problems like raising their kids and making their relationship work while coping with being a superhero. This is one reason I loved the comic Tom Strong. Go ahead and read it and tell me that wouldn't be a much better general direction to take Spider-Man.
I gave up on Marvel comics years ago and this just ensures that I will never go back.

Do you really think parents have that much control over their kids, especially into high school? Well if they were not doing something wrong then they wouldn't need to be watched. Kids can't be trusted, they need to be watched or they will bully other kids.
Another option is to send any kid who bullies to prison for life. After all they have proven they are a danger to other children so I say lock them up to protect all the other kids. It's a simple solution and it would stamp out the problem completely.
