Remember when everyone hated Return of the Jedi?
Time
Jedi was the only original that I got to see in theaters and that is a very cherished memory. I still remember coming home and talking about it for days. Sure Jedi lacks the most out of the 3 films (there is only 3 right?) but because of that memory alone I can't diss it. I just watched it the other day on LD with my 8year old son and seeing the look on his face reminded me of that feeling. Complete awe!

Lego Star Wars - the game - Help Needed
Time
I found a download link here. I'm not sure of the quality because they say it is only 12mb when the one I have saved is 59.6.

I found another link here that has a 44mb sized file of it so the quality should be better and it also has a link for the full stormtrooper orchestra that you see at the end of revenge of the brick.

On the Clone Wars Season 2 dvd they have Revenge of the Brick in surround sound.

I also found this site that looks to cover SW lego stuff, FBTB.net

Hope that helps you.

Are you planning on doing a professional looking disc or just one to watch now and then because I think a dvd dedicated to SW lego stuff would be cool?

Because, even in TPM he was a mature, clear headed dude. Maybe when he was younger, but then again Yoda never taught him anyway (unless maybe when he was like 4 years old) because it goes, Yoda - Dooku - Qui-Gon - Obi-Wan. But then I'm just making excuses for the crappy PT anyway.

Its probably not ment that way but like all my friends you'll now think it everytime you see it.

Interesting take on that line though it never made me think Smith gang raped Sati. I always took it for what it was right from the start.

Thank you all for your help. I'm wanting the closest to the originals as possible, the main reason i got the LD player, but I'm also interested in the collectability of the definitive collection. Aren't the faces discs altered from the original? If so, maybe I'll just get the originals and the DC.

I know it's been said before but to me the PT's biggest downfall was in the story telling and character development. Take away all of the things that didn't match up and just look at the PT and OT as two seperate entities. The PT felt very rushed. It was trying to accomplish too many goals while the OT brought you to know the characters and explained everything in a smooth fashion. There are many examples I could put here but the midichloriens (whatever), not only a stupid idea, took up time that could have been used to flesh out something of more importance. That time could've been used to show anakin and his mom more to help us feel anakins loss when he's taken away from her and that might have helped us feel his rage more in Ep2 when she dies. Also looking at ROTS, we get introduced to characters, General Grevious, who get no back story whatsoever, and essentially does nothing more than take up time on the screen. There was also so much dialogue just time wasted in the PT. For example, the fan edit Attack of the Phantom, the love scene has all of the dialogue removed and the scene worked perfectly, in my opinion.

Maybe since Lucas had to work harder on the OT it turned out better. People usually produce better things when they are under the gun. With the PT he had it pretty much smooth sailing. The technology was there to give him all he wanted.

As far as being older now. Yea, I see your point and I can see it backed up with my own kids. I have exposed them to as much as the OT as I can but their preference is the PT. My son loves watching little anakin racing in the pods. He loves all the stupid little jokes that happen in the PT. He loves watching the Jedi's dish it out to the baddies. To him it's all about good vs. evil, nothing more, nothing less. The real thing that saddens me in all of this is that thanks to the PT he doesn't see Darth Vader as the bad ass that we all so him as. To him it's just anakin in a suit and he'll be good again so it's o.k.

But back to the topic at hand. An expanded universe film or show could be done correctly as long as it returned to the roots of any good movie. Character development and story telling. I believe Lucas could pull this off and I hope he does with this SW t.v. show. But there is the old saying that lightning doesn't strike in the same spot twice and that may be the case for Star Wars.

On another note completely off the subject. I just wanna say I love this site. I've visited alot of the other SW's sites and none of them reach into these movies like this one does. I've been reading these forums for the past year now and the things I've learnt here about SW and editing has been awesome. O.K. cheesy part over.

It's not just that the PT was lacking, it's just that the whole Star Wars franchise has changed into something quite lame - You just need to look at the whole franchise to see that it is not the same entity that it once was. Hell, just check out Starwars.com, take a look at databank. Take a look at the toys that are being made, take a look at the whole sorry affair and you will see why I don't think a Star Wars TV show, even one with such a cool concept as the one mentioned (Jedi students led by Skywalker) would be all that great. It would be a whole load of flashy fight scenes, midichlorians, cool shiny spaceships and convoluted continuity, which, whatever anyone says, is NOT what Star Wras WAS about. Star Wars was a fairy tale, telling of mystical powers and noble warriors. Now it is just another Sci-Fi show, with endless spin-offs and tie-ins and 'cool' aliens and effects. I don't want to get into the whole 'They are George's Movies' debate, but Star Wars was one thing, and now it is something else, and I believe many will agree with me that the something else is not as good. A TV show would be made now, with the current George Lucas, and therefore I don't think it would be all that great.

Anyway, I really didn't want to get into that, but I can see that you are fairly new here so I just wanted to explain my POV.

Yea, I see your point. It's became more like star trek basically. As far as the toys, the first ones that come to mind are the SW transformers. I'm not really sure why they mixed those two franchises other than for money but at the same time my kids love 'em. But I completely understand your point of view on this and I have to agree. Don't ge me wrong with my post earlier, I definitely prefer the OT to the PT and I was very disappointed with the PT. Out of every slam that I've read on these forums over the past year (I just haven't been posting) I'm sorry to say that the majority I've agreed with.

Anyhow, thanks for clearing up your point.

I have dreamed of this for so long. How totally bitchin' would that be?

yeah thats what i was hoping they would make the TV Show about. but yeah, it would be so good. the key would e to keep it away from lucas. No i dont mind him at all, but the thing is that the series would have to be DARK as hell, like pg-13 dark, and lucas cant do that. it would be great.

hear is a question, if they made a series, how would they break down the story from the NJO, what do you think they would include/ exclude?

I have to agree with you, Lucas wouldn't make it dark enough for the NJO series. Of course there would be a ton of detail left out but I'm sure we would see chewie die, anakin solo die, little detail about verge, the new high counsil being established, and some cool war scenes but I bet the transfer from book to screen wouldn't be done well enough to satisfy those of us who have read or a reading the njo series. Wow though, to see the moon crash into the planet and see Chewbacca die, that would be freaking intense.

Ok, we all agree that the PT was lacking (understatement) but that doesn't mean Lucas couldn't pull it off. Lucas could've did the PT better but for some reason he made it the way he wanted to make it at the time. I know we all love star wars and we feel like it belongs to us in some way but in reality it is GL's story and movies and he has the right to do with them as he pleases.

Look at it from a musicians point of view. A musician can write a song that he/she love and it plays true to their heart but it could get terrible reviews and have alot of people say it sucks. Does that change how the musician feels about the song? Nope. So what's my point? I don't know, my train of thought just de-railed. I hate when that happens.
