Q] I think go to Instant Action, hunt mode, in Tantooine. Then, you get to play as, Darth Maul all you like. It's the sith versus the jedi/heroes. So, you can also play as, Yoda, Han, Count Dooku.... I think that's the mode but, I'm sure it's Tantooine.
The only maps I see for Tantooine are space maps?

But I'll be honest, if anyone wants me to knock it off with the PT bashing threads, just let me know, cause if you guys are getting sick of them, I will stop, I don't mind being criticized. Though in my topics, I try to put a different spin other than bitchin the movies aren't great, but why do these fans love them? What do they find great?

I wasn't saying all that. Post whatever you like, that's what forums are for. I was just curious as to what started this particular topic again. As for TF.n, I recently visited one of their forums just to see what all the noise was about. I was very disturbed to find people actually arguing on why midichlorians (sp?) we're a good addition to the story. WTF? They were actually saying it was cool. Anyway, bashing them is already well taken care of in other forums.

Now by the time Luke comes to the scene, things have changed. He isn't the last of the old, but the first of the new. Jedi can get married, have kids, and basically have a life. That is the true balance of the force. A Jedi's life and sense of duty is now in balanced.

Even this doesn't come about except in the EU books.

I like my bootlegs and have considered just sticking with them because I don't want to have to buy the SE again.

I understand the dislike for the PT, I really do and I agree with most points brought up about them. I also hate that the better movies, 4-6, keep getting changed to fit better with the shitty one, 1-3. I was just wondering why this topic was brought back with such force but having ep3 play on hbo daily and new visitors to the site makes sence.

I know I don't have many posts but I've been a visitor of this site for a while now and I've noticed here lately an increase in PT bashing. Not that I like the PT because I don't and I have joined in on the fun, it just struck me odd because there was a brief time that the bashing was starting to calm down. Now practically every new thread I see has something to do with ripping apart the PT. Once again, I'm not bitching about it, I'm just curious and starting to feel like we're beating a dead horse.

BF2 is the game where you can use different Jedi's and Sith's. They only get to be playable charcters once you've accomplished a certain amount of goals. Then a message will appear on the screen asking if you'd like to be on the major characters. As far as I know they never get to be playable at anytime. Sorta sucks but it would definitely unbalance the game if there was a Jedi running around a level filled with nothing but stormtroopers.

I know when I was a child Darth Vader was the man. Every Halloween I was Darth Vader. My favorite toy Darth Vader and now I see the same reactions in my own children except my oldest insist on calling him Ani. It hurts me to hear that. Anyway, the thread made me stop for a second today and talk to my son about Vader and really make sure he understood that Darth Vader was not a nice guy. My son just looked at me like I was an idiot for trying to explain this to him so I ended the conversation.

My point is it is very disturbing to think of children idolizing the bad guy but at the same time hasn't this always been done to some extent. How many of us on this board felt as I did about Darth Vader when we were children? How many of us dressed up as him on Halloween? How many people have become famous in the past because they were the bad guy? I believe Oliver Stone touched on this subject in Natural Born Killers. Society makes hero's out of rotten people so it's no wonder that there are people who look at Anakin this way. Doesn't mean it's right.

Here is my theory on why I think PT fans can relate to Anakin and Padme'. Maybe they are all Emo kids. Noone understands Emo kids just like people didn't really get Anakin and Padme'. That explains why Anakin dressed differently than the other Jedi's as well. He was emo.

Where the hell did the word Emo come from anyway?

I've already started the NJO. I'm almost done with Dark Tide II. Unfortunately I read Destiny's Way first so I know alot of what happened in the earlier books.

I also liked that he was named Vader before the suit. I just would have liked to see the man in the suit do some Jedi killing like we've dreamt about seeing for years. Instead we saw him get the suit, scream no, and look at the death star. Boooring.

We've waited all these years to see the the suit on the big screen again and that's all we get. It seems to be a re-occuring theme for Lucas. Make them wait forever for what they want then give them just enough to piss them off.

Yep, dead serious. Wal-Mart has them. They taste so bad that it has became a gag at work to see how many people we can talk into buying these things just so we can laugh when we see their expression after tasting it.

I'm making up for lack of violence in the acclamed "It's so violent it's PG-13!!!" crap fest of a movie.

uh.....fair enough.

I'll see if I can't find the pic of vader. He's stabbing down with his lightsaber and the person he's stabbing is holding up his left arm in defense. The saber is going through the persons hand and into him. It's really a cool pic.

#3 - More Darth Vader, goddamnit! I wanted to see our masked villing for longer than 2 minutes.

There's some cool paintings in this months sw magazine of Vader stabbing people with his light saber. That's the stuff I wanted to see in ROTS. Vader kicking ass, not Hayden.

I can see what you mean about it being forced but it's hard to say how Obi Wan could've regarded Anikan in his mind. Of course there is no real film evidence of this relationship.

For Ep2, I suggest the phantom edit as well. I've see a few edits and this was my top fav though I would've removed the "death sticks" scene. God, I hate that guy!

I don't know how many energy drink drinkers we have here but has anyone else tried Steven Seagal's new drink? OMG, there isn't a word in the english language to describe how awful this drink is. Personally, I think they took urine and filtered it through twigs and berries to make it. Both types are disgusting, the cherry being the worst of the two. The taste takes forever to leave your mouth and may God have mercy on you if you should happen to burp.

Stay away!

It was dumb having it at the end of ROTS anyway, and personally if you guys are going for a 6-part saga I think it would be best to drop the entire ending of ROTS and try to retain the 'I am your father' twist. i.e don't show Anakin becoming Vader or Padme giving birth. Just have them both 'die'. Of course, having Luke with the same surname as Anakin does make it a little hard to keep the surprise...

You could show just Luke being born and later after all the twist have been revealed, show the twins being born and Anakin become Vader.

I still can't understand why we never got to see Vader helping the Emperor to hunt down and destroy the Jedi. Don't tell me the "younglings" count.

Not only that, I was dissapointed that the Jedi we did see get killed got killed by clones. That was some crap although I really enjoyed the music through those scenes. I also enjoyed the dialogue between Obi and Anakin after their battle. I think that was some of Ewan's best acting out of all three films.

I agree, when I left the theater opening day I felt so good that and confident that Lucas had brought it all together. He did what I thought was impossible. Then after a few viewings from a screener copy a friend brought me from china, I started to see more and more problems and eventually I realized the truth, the PT as whole just sucks. Oh how I wish it wasn't so!

What I really think Anakin should have said when trying to lure Padme into joining him - "Whe don't have to run anymore. You and I can rule the galaxy together as husband and wife!" Reminicant of Vader and the whole "...rule as father and son!" obsession he has showing that he may desire power, but he doesn't want to do it alone. Ruling with family seems really important to him. But it all falls on deaf Lucas ears.

That would've been a good tye-in right there.

Not to be to perverse, but, did George Lucas ever get laid? He CANNOT write romance.

You're right Coldon, his romance dialogue in AOTC was just as weak.

That is a great reminder of what the "saga" really means to some people. I don't believe my own children would be into Star Wars as much if it weren't for the PT. Even today we were driving and they were in the back seat humming the Darth Vader music. It was quite touching to me but my oldest (8) kept calling him ANI....omg I wanted to shout at him to quit calling him that but this story has helped me understand why he was doing that now and I can except that. Thanks for the great story.
