It’s really not even that hot, in my experience. Well it is sometimes, but it’s not humid like on the east coast so it’s pretty bearable.

Maybe it’s just me but I’m tired of cold winters and snow. Not my style.

I mean, I get that comic companies do this all the time, but the last Vader series finished what like 4 months ago? And it’s not like it’s a reboot or anything either.

For the record, Mankiewicz isn’t the “probable” replacement, he is the replacement and has been picking up for Osborne for years now.

And I really don’t know much about The Young Turks or why people hate them so much, but the fact of the matter is his involvement in that has nothing to do with his TCM hosting abilities.

A bit more on topic, I’m disappointed that I didn’t get to go to more TCM in theater events when Osborne was still around (or actually make it out to their festival in person). One I did get to see was Singin’ in the Rain, which had an interview attached between Osborne and Debbie Reynolds. It was pretty fun to watch. Sad to see them both gone now.

In regards to the prequels, yeah, sure, I was even in that boat for a while before I started taking a slight liking to TPM. But on films that don’t even exist yet, and to the degree of some on here? I don’t smell that kinda stench even from the vocal minority of the larger fanbase. Case in point: imperialscum’s last post on this thread. Lordy have mercy on yall.

I’m no real PT apologist, but some of the criticism those films have received is just way over the top. This is where the popularity of the “raped my childhood” stuff comes from, if you’ll remember.

Well Ben Mankiewicz has been hosting too for awhile now. Osborne’s health hasn’t been so great in the past few years so it’s not a big surprise, but it is still a great loss, indeed.
