If someone is eating an apple and another person is just watching them eat the apple, which one has the more qualified opinion on the quality of that apple?

what exact quality of the apple are you talking about. Without tasting I can still testify to quality of how it looks and smells. Of course I can’t testify as to how it tastes unless I tasted it.

I think this exclusionary attitude again causes resentment both ways. Maybe Warbler doesn’t know about that specific apple, but then, perhaps he could offer a more objective perspective on other qualities of the apple, while the person eating the apple may be overly-concerned with the most salient qualities, such as flavor.

What if the person eating the apple gets food poisoning, and the other person doesn’t believe them, or says they need to get over it?

What if the person eating the apple was lying about it being poisoned(and was only acting like they had been poisoned), for attention or to forward an agenda?

Don’t be fucking ridiculous.

I’m not at all suggesting the person eating the apple shouldn’t have an opinion of greater importance. I’m simply saying they may have something to contribute. What if the non-apple eater had never tasted apple, but happens to know the many health benefits of apples? What if he’s never had that Fuji apple the first person is eating, but he’s had golden delicious and might have some unique contribution to the broader discussion if afford in general?

I’m not suggesting that white people can’t talk about race. If so I’d be a hypocrite.

Kennedy worse than Lucas.

Lucas was an artist who became a businessman though.

I would say PT is a strong evidence of contrary. Even though PT sucked and was receiving lots of criticism since TPM, he was making what he wanted and not what audience wanted/expected. He could make films about Anakin/Vader being likeable badass, which is what most of people would love/expect to see, but instead he followed his own unpopular story where Anakin/Vader was an annoying whiner.

This isn’t true at all, Lucas changed a lot due to audience response.

Ok, even I think this is going too far.

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/08/23/business/media/robert-lee-university-virginia-charlottesville.html

ESPN has removed an announcer from its broadcast of the University of Virginia’s first football game next month because he has the same name as a Confederate general memorialized in statues that are being taken down across the country.

The network announced late Tuesday that the announcer, Robert Lee, a part-time employee who calls about a dozen college football and basketball games a year for ESPN, would no longer participate in the broadcast of the Sept. 2 game in Charlottesville, Va., which became the center of violent clashes this month during a white supremacist gathering.

White nationalists and neo-Nazis flooded into Charlottesville, marching through the University of Virginia campus with torches, to protest the city’s plan to remove a statue of the Confederacy’s top general, Robert E. Lee.

After the violence in Charlottesville, which left one person dead, ESPN executives and Mr. Lee decided that for his safety it would be best to have him to work on a different game that Saturday, a network spokesman said.

“We collectively made the decision with Robert to switch games as the tragic events in Charlottesville were unfolding, simply because of the coincidence of his name,” ESPN said in a statement. “In that moment it felt right to all parties. It’s a shame that this is even a topic of conversation and we regret that who calls play-by-play for a football game has become an issue.”

At first I thought, “that’s ridiculous, they removed him because of his name?” Then I realized they basically just had him switch which game he was calling. I mean, it’s still silly, but it’s not that big a deal and I get why.

This is not a suggestion, because obviously, but wouldn’t it make sense if these shots…

…showed lists of rebel/Imperial fighters and the lightbright guys highlighted them in red when they got destroyed.

I think it would add even more of a ticking clock, especially near the end when just about the only fighters left were those of our heroes.

At the very least they’re begging something of the sort that ady did to the similar panels in ESBR.

The Kenobi <s>Movie</s> Show (Spoilers)
Time

As this is my thread, I’d just ask that off topic hissy fits be kept to a minimum.

If you can’t take criticism for posting the same shit over and over again, stop fucking posting it. If you’re here for preservations, fine, power to you, were all in the same boat. But there’s no reason why you need keep posting here if you have nothing to add except the same old stale opinion. Many have engaged you civilly in the past, but when you come in with nothing to say except “BLAH DISNEY STAR WARS I HATE STAR WARS YOU GUYS ARE ALL CHILDREN,” I don’t know why you’d expect anything but the response you get. If you think making fun of adults who like Star Wars makes you feel smart and mature, that’s cool bro, but you do realize you’re wasting your time on a Star Wars board too, right? I guess you get the award for most self-hating nerd.

It might be better for everyone if you didn’t post in these parts at all, right? Then you can feel superior knowing you’re not a loser like the rest of us. And we can go about our business without having to deal with unrepentant assholery. Deal?

But… but… there’s been no official announcement, right?

Everybody online is talking about this like it’s official but nobody involved has said anything. The Hollywood Reporter’s “sources say” it’s true in their exclusive story and everyone else starts treating it as gospel. One spinoff article’s headline actually began,“It’s official…” but just repeated everything from the original story.

And then others took the brief mention of Yoda and Boba Fett standalones from that article and made new headlines from that. And apparently now we’re getting a Jabba movie too.

The guys and gals on Collider Jedi Council spent the whole of last week’s episode talking like it was an official announcement but nobody involved in making the movies has announced anything at all.

I really do feel like I’ve missed out on something here. The Hollywood Reporter is as capable of misinforming as much as the next news outlet. Is there information out there about this that everybody except me knows?

Like I said, THR is pretty reliable, but there’s still a reason LFL hasn’t announced this (my guess would be waiting for a McGregor confirmation and/or finilizing contracts). They didn’t say it was “official,” and everyone else claiming such is just being disingenuous for the sake of clicks (while also looping in unsubstaniated rumors of Fett and Yoda films).

I don’t doubt to much that their info on the movie is legit, but I do believe, before an official confirmation comes, that it’s not 100% definite.
