Okay
Okay
I can’t remember what year you are, but the real benefit of AP courses is college credit. If you know where you might want to go, look into whether they accept AP credits for the courses you’re taking - that might be a big factor in whether you think they’re actually worth it or not. My AP credits added up to a full semester, so I was able to graduate in 3.5 years which saved me a shit ton of money.
The other thing would be if your school does a weighted GPA, at which point you have to figure if it’s really worth however much it’ll affect your GPA/class rank (which, again is only important insofar as the schools you want to go to and what they’re looking for), and also you kinda have to think about whether you’d get a lower grade in an AP class and whether GPA-wise if that’d still be higher than a better grade in a lower level class.
Ultimately, like I said it comes down to what kind of school you want to go to and what kind of scholarships you might want to look into. That will determine if the workload is actually worth it or not.
I don’t mind the look of skinny jeans but most time they’re far too tight, and extremely uncomfortable. I did try on a pair recently that actually felt really nice, but the pockets were so small, it was like they forgot they were supposed to be men’s pants. Maybe one day I’ll find a good pair, but until then I guess I’ll have to put myself on team anti-skinny jeans.
I agree with every word of this.
Wait you also recently tried on a comfortable pair with pathetic pockets? Weird.

But that would mean you’ve seen it twice, when really you’ve only seen it once.
It is silly though. What happens when you finish the movie? Will you post about it again?
To me, I’d rather watch a movie in SD with effective use of deleted scenes than a movie in HD missing out on its full storyline potential.
I think the problem with the deleted scenes is more about film damage.
Good, so at least you got two out of the three words in the thread title right.
But the more important thing is, have you seen another movie since then?
I like Die Another Day.
Unfortunately I think the ideal sequence of events is probably impossible to achieve.
You’d want to use the lightsaber construction scene, repurposed on Dagobah (as many have suggested). Then after the sail barge assault you’d want to use the sandstorm scene, and then follow that up with Luke talking to ghost Ben at his hut. And I don’t think it’d be possible to make any of that work.
I do think people are getting a bit carried away here. This is ady’s edit thread, the ROTJ wishlist thread is that way.
I’m personally just interested in what ady will give us. I don’t really care if it’s not what completely I want, because I know I’m ultimately going to make my own adjustments to it either way. Like the crawl, for example, I 100% believe it needs to be changed, but if ady doesn’t want to, I don’t really care because I know that no matter what I’ll be making my own crawl.
I’d suggest other people disappointed with ady choices should do the same - make your own version. Nothing to lose sleep over, guys.
Yeah I like Colbert but that was a very poor choice. Fuck Spicer.
Had to Google to see if it was a joke.
Of course, it was not.
In the wake of Force Awakens, we’re still arguing that a Jedi needs extensive training? 😉
No, just that Luke acts like a very different person in a way that is hard to reconcile with the film’s only implied explanation (that he learned his lesson and nothing else). And Yoda just sounds contradictory.
This crawl is well-written, but it begs the question of him leaving then going back and being surprised that Yoda is dying if he had JUST seen him a week before.
It’s not a perfect solution, but it is a lot easier to believe than the alternative (for me at least). Besides, if Yoda’s 900 years old, who’s to say he shouldn’t have shown signs of dying back in ESB?
ROTJ makes no sense in this regard. Yoda makes a pretty big deal about Luke needing to finish his training, to the point where it is very hard to believe the only reason was to shield him from the truth about Vader, which is what ROTJ implies. And sure, Luke learned his lesson after his failure at Cloud City, but I don’t think that’s enough for him to show up acting like a full fledged and wise Jedi Knight at the start of the next film. I think you can try to rationalize it but honestly this is simply just a silly and poorly thought out aspect of the film.
The question is though, can it be fixed? Redtructuring is an interesting idea, though I don’t know how necessary. I honestly think it can be accomplished fairly easily with a crawl rewrite and some very minimal dialogue changes.
No.
Ady also said there’s only going to be one version right? Does that mean he’ll keep the non-purist changes?
Hahaha
Thanks to him and ImageShack, the mockups are mostly gone, but the list is just private if I had the momentum to clean it up.
Now hosting all the images on the Wordpress, we’re back up.
I remember reading this sometime ago. Some really solid ideas in there (though not all necessarily feasible).
Honestly the thing I probably want fixed most is the focus on the stars in the throne room sequence.
Distracts me every time.
I never had much of a problem with STID but even for me Vengeance was a big step up (probably only a couple little things I would have done differently). I personally don’t think ST09 needs an edit at all (only thing that I’m not a big fan off is the “numb tongue” sequence, but that’s nearly impossible to cut out). STBeyond, could probably use a good edit (if for nothing else than to improve that drab color grade).
Wicket vs. Plif the Hoojib - who wins (assuming they both have Jedi powers plus upgraded Mandalorian jetpacks and also obviously double bladed lightsabers with extra cross guards)?
Also keep in mind they’re fighting in the trench of the Death Star II. Yes, you heard that right.
Make your calculations. I’m waiting.
Wicket = The Ewok in ROTJ
Pilf = WTF IS A PILFWicket > Pilf
DS III >>>> DS II
Okay, first of all it’s PLIF,
Close enough.
second of all I told you right there he’s a Hoojib.
Which tells me nothing.
Look, I’m the only one who even considered your scenario, let alone showed his calculations as requested. You had better start being nicer to me or I’ll do something about it. I don’t know what, but neither of us will like it that’s for sure.
While I appreciate the effort, clearly your work is incorrect. The fact that you don’t know what a Hoojib is tells me this problem is too advanced for you (I assume this is why no one else has taken a stab at it either).
Ladies and gentleman, the “Adult” of OT.com.

People tend to use OG when they just mean “original.”
