Dumb Jurassic Park reference.

*hilarious

Yeah, right.

unnecessary sequel.

Kind of but who cares?

When the film holds no worthwhile content, I care.

Dumb plot.

Nope.

Contrived and silly.

Al is a stupid villain (both in the sense that I don’t like him as a villain, and that the character is an idiot).

Not in a million years.

Secondary Woody characters that I don’t care one iota about.

Certainly not.

Well, that’s kind of the point. I certainly do not care about the three supporting Woody characters, because the only chemistry they have with Woody is forced and meaningless, and I don’t find them very likable.

Also 😉.

Unnecessary sequel

There are a lot of unnecessary but good sequels.

There are some. I usually use “unnecessary sequel” when the sequel has no purpose other than to make more money. If there is a sequel that properly continues the first film, I don’t consider it completely unnecessary.

ESB is one (since SW was a self contained story)

Fair.

and Rambo II was another.

What? Rambo sucks. I was actually expecting something nice when I first watched it, but it sorely disappointed me. And that was a very unnecessary sequel.

Just because something didn’t need to be made doesn’t mean it’s a negative against the actual film because it was made.

Maybe not so, but when a sequel is unnecessary and almost completely empty of worthwhile content, then I count it against it.

And plus maybe it was unnecessary to you but when I was a kid me and the people I was around relished a sequel. We grew to love these characters and wanted to see more of them in a new story so on that basis alone a sequel was in no way unnecessary.

Like I said, opinions. And like I said, I grew up with this film (and of course, the first one). Sequels were great when I was a kid too.

Okay. That’s one part of the movie. What about the rest of it?

(In light of my previous statement) Dumb Jurassic Park reference. Unnecessary sequel. Dumb plot. Al is a stupid villain (both in the sense that I don’t like him as a villain, and that the character is an idiot). Secondary Woody characters that I don’t care one iota about.

(Before you say that this is all very opinionated, that’s all it is, opinions. I don’t like the film, despite growing up with it.)

Also, they’re making a 4th one.

Toy Story 2 (1999) - 9/10

My goodness, I haven’t seen this in years! It certainly brought back nostalgia, as I used to watch this all the time when I was younger. It’s got some flaws, but they’re all minuscule and hardly detract from the film, which has glorious animation and terrific voice acting, plus some extremely humorous and emotional moments. It stands up just as well as it did when I was six.

I’m sorry, but, just… no. Toy Story (1995) I would give a 9/10, but I can’t fathom why someone would say one of the sequels is that good.

Yeah, but you can’t fathom a lot of stuff that is plainly evident.

My family and I watched Toy Story 2 just last weekend and it is a great sequel.

Yeah, a great sequel. I love the part where they could have written their own scene, but instead did a cringe-worthy ESB reference that doesn’t make any sense.

There’s stuff in the Clone Wars that I like a lot but on the whole I don’t think Ashoka makes any sense and there are some weird and silly ways they messed with continuity.

How so? That’s an obscure observation regarding Akhsoka.

Ahsoka shouldn’t exist. She was contrived for the series, and then conveniently dispatched from the Jedi order, and she is never mentioned in ROTS.

Besides, like you said, we can just look at Ghostbusters and know what the reaction would be, and they even have the benefit of being all-new characters.

Yeah, all new characters. I love how they made such a good parallel by having the three main/original characters be white and then throw in a fourth black member for the heck of it.

I’d also like to say that I read the last three or so posts in Mr. Plinkett’s voice. I think my current Half in the Bag binge is getting to my head…
