Toy story is not a children’s film, it’s a family film. The difference is a person of any age can watch Toy Story, but something like Postman Pat: The Movie, adults will find hard to watch.
Star Wars is a children’s film, but adults can still appreciate it. Yes, Toy Story is a children’s film, because it was made for children.
When a film is aimed at children, it’s a children’s film. Did you know Star Wars is a children’s film?
A “children’s film” is a film where the intended prinary audience is children. Toy Story and it’s sequels are children’s films, but they are very good ones because they don’t pander to the children. Because they don’t pander to them, there are more mature underlying themes and ideas. Some they’ll pick up on, some they won’t at first but will later in life should they choose to rewatch them, making the films even more special to them and their memories of childhood. So it won’t be eventually forgotten as silly old trash like, say, Minions will eventually.

But seriously, I didn’t think it was near perfect or anything. It’s definitely a good choice if you’re in the mood for some goofy dark comedy.

I was quite surprised by how much I liked this film. It’s so dumb, But I found it very funny for the goofy comedy that it is. It’s not to be taken seriously. I really wish they could’ve used the actual track from Once Upon A Time In The West instead of the “almost, but not quite a recognizable tune”; I think it would’ve made that scene a lot better.
EDIT: So apparently the track I was referring to was actually something by Morricone (“My Fault” from My Name Is Nobody), and I didn’t realize. My point still stands, though; it would’ve worked better with the Harmonica tune from Once Upon A Time In The West.

Personally I love Toy Story 2 and don’t give two shits that Dek hated it.
I wouldn’t even say I hate it. I just find it kind of annoying. It’s merely a mediocre sequel to a film I love, that I really don’t care about. And if anything, it’s the praise for perfection in gets that I hate.

Also Toy Story 2 is not a “children’s film” and maybe you think it’s unimportant but I (and many others) would consider not just when of the best sequels ever but also one of the best animated films of all time.
By unimportant I meant historically. As far as I know it had no historical significance beyond it’s 100% RT rating. Toy Story was the first 3D computer animated feature film, not Toy Story 2. Also, call it one of the best 3D animated films of all time all you like, but even if I didn’t dislike it, I’m positive I would never call it one of the best animated films of all time.

For some notes, I think you have to try using the post-ROTJ “A long time ago in a galaxy far,far away…” From ROTJ DeEd 2.5
The crawl reminds me of the GOUT and its horrible aliasing. I suggest trying to make matte lines outlining the text and try to make the crawl shake vertically.
EDIT: And I think you nailed the laserdisc version of the OT.

It looks to me like your video has both the LFL logo and “A long time ago…” from SW 2.5, rather than ROTJ 2.5, but I could be mistaken.
BTW, this project looks like it’s gonna be awesome! (been following the thread since you started it 😄)
