I can’t deny this, and that’s where the subjectivity comes into play. Anyway, by that point I don’t think any movie is a story that needs to be told (in the form of a film, of course).
The more important part of my stated opinion is that it’s a story that I don’t particularly wan’t to be told.
I also will say that a better way to express my opinion on its being subjectively unnecessary, is that it is an expansion on the characters from the first film that I don’t need, nor do I want. Others may feel differently, and that’s fine.
I have nothing against it’s existence, but like those who love Star Wars as a stand alone film, and don’t care for the sequels, I love Toy Story without much care for its sequels.
