If you’re gonna say “sh!t” just go all the way and say “shit.” You aren’t fooling God. 😉
Oh, I perfectly realize that typing “sh!t” is the same as typing “shit”. I was just having some fun with it.

I don’t like Google as a company but their new logo is miles more modern than their old one.
Maybe, but that doesn’t make it good.
I consider the use of “modern” in this time period to be be a negative almost universally.

sh!t
It’s okay, you can swear here.
I don’t swear in general. The most I say is crap and suck, and really only anything else when I’m quoting (and even then I usually don’t say anything harsh like fuck or shit) or if I’m using the word for it’s definition.

I don’t sh!t myself over it, but I personally prefer the original/2010-2013 style logo. And I do strongly dislike the current logo.
EDIT:
This sums up my opinion on the “new” Google logo:
Lol, yeah. I agree with that.

What?
Your comment implies that TVS FRINKS COMPUTER is a different entity than Frink.
Well I don’t know about that cloud consciousness nonsense but of course TVS FRINK COMPUTER is a separate entity.
Wait, so are two people using your account? Team account, everyone!
I won’t believe Team Olie is back until I see the Frinky-Dinkens avatar on here again.

Oh, I like sports, and I care minimally about the outcomes, just out of basic interest. I just don’t think sports, and the Olympics particularly, are really as important as some people make them out to be.

Am I the only one here who doesn’t really care about the Olympics? I mean, some of the games are fun to watch, but I don’t really care whether or not my country is winning all the sports.

I’d think to b____ about my own clumsiness with a serrated knife. This morning I was trying to cut a bagel and while I was cutting the bagel. I cut myself. I cut the tip of my right index finger badly. I had to go to an urgent care center nearby and get three stitches put it. I might be able to swimming as originally planned this coming Sunday, as a result. 😦

A sad world we live in where there are some who don’t realize anime is complete dog shit.
Now you, Dominic? 😭
Dom generally always sides with Frink, on really anything as far as my memory goes.
And another one joins the Jetrell Fo in the Frink uprising.
I’m not on the Fo wagon. I’m not saying Dom is a miniFrink or that he is copying his opinions from Frink. I’m just saying that as far as my memory serves, he usually agrees with Frink on whatever the subject may be. “Sides with” may have made it sound somewhat Fo-ish.

Huh, typical stalling response so you don’t have to tackle the actual question.
Me being racist is a ludicrous accusation and any question related to that premise is not worth answering.
He did not say that you were racist, he only said that actions that you might have taken, are taking, and will take, may be actions that can related to or fueled by an amount of racism, which is very different saying that you are a racist.
Pretty much, yeah. I’m pointing out that the “adults” on this forum saying that specifically Japanese animation/media is shit just because it’s Japanese animation/media, and an equivalent from any other country of origin would be fine, shows some undertones of racism. I’m not accusing anyone of actually being racist against Japanese people. I merely think that the thought that Japanese people are incapable of creating quality entertainment media shows a hint of racism in such actions.
Except we’re saying none of the things you’re accusing us of saying.
Then tell me. Why is it that you have no apparent problem with animation media from anywhere but Japan? You seem to think that all Japanese animation media sucks, which implies that you don’t think Japanese people/studios are capable of creating quality animation media.

Thanks for the info! After checking out those specific parts, I’ll have to stick with the over-compressed original LD track. I can’t handle the sound effects that I know and love being different, haha. Hopefully the six track mix can get synced to the print sometime for a better option.

Either way, they’re just trolling every time this comes up, so I’m not sure why you’re still going at this.
I’m pretty sure they’re not trolling.
Oh, I’m sure they hate all sorts of Japanese media regardless of specifics, and they banner it under “anime”. I’m not saying their disdain for Japanese animation is just an act.
I just think they are smart enough to realize what you are saying, but use their hate for most Japanese animation to keep their minds closed on the matter and state it as fact that anime sucks, just because they haven’t seen any Japanese animation that they have enjoyed in adult life.
Probably because we’re adults.
Animation is animation. I’m glad you consider animation childish and juvenile. That means you don’t enjoy animated films like Toy Story 2. Oh, what’s that now? It’s because it originated in Japan? That’s why you don’t like it? I believe that’s a hint of racism I’m picking up here.

Honestly, I’m not sure I would call “anime” a medium. It’s just a specifier referring to animation from Japan. The medium is animation, whether that be traditional 2D animation, digital 2D animation, 3D animation, etc.
A better comparison would be just that it’s like calling all American animation terrible.
And these guys aren’t even just calling “anime” terrible; they are calling pretty much all Japanese entertainment media terrible, with the general exception for live-action film and music.
Either way, they’re just trolling every time this comes up, so I’m not sure why you’re still going at this.

Listened to these last night. You did a great job of smoothing out the edits. The 1989 laserdisc mix is really compressed, to the point that it isn’t listenable IMO. I think the original Dolby optical track is much better. There doesn’t seem to be a good uncompressed source for the original 1981 mix.
Yeah, I thought it just sounded too quiet and lacking in the dynamic sound of the optical track. Does the original LD release have the same track as the '89 Japanese LD?
I forgot how much I liked the 1992 laserdisc mix. It’s a remix, but still pretty close to the original Dolby mix. It’s probably the best overall mix, with good dynamics.
Are there any notable differences between the '81 and '92 mixes that would make it too unoriginal for a purist?

There’s a fanedit in progress over at FE that might just make a good movie out of it.
Ooooo… I’ve wanted ST V to be a good film for a long time, to the point of making a cut-list for my own future fanedit (that will most likely never happen).
So, where might information on this be found? I can’t for the life of me figure out how to find works-in-progress on the new FE site.
Are you a member over there? No idea what’s visible if you’re not.
Yeah, it’s not visible unless you’re signed in. If you are, look for the In The Works subforum.
Crap. I’ve been forgetting to sign in. Thanks to both of you for the help 😄.

Well, to me “serialized” means each episode is a direct continuation of the previous one. So just the last 7(?) episodes of DS9 match this criteria. Of course I’m not implying that my definition is the correct one.
I’m pretty sure you’re correct.

To enhance this rare LLP theatre experience, I’ve uploaded on the ‘spleen a folder containing audio files of sound mixes of the film that have been edited to play in sync with this release.
Rather than duplicate the unintentional splicing of the release print’s optical soundtrack caused by damaged missing frames, these edits were made to polish the transition over the skip-frames so that you can better immerse yourself into the movie.
The audio options are as follows:
5.1 channel, DTS-HDMA mix from the official 2012 Blu Ray release. [dts file]
2.0 channel, Dolby Surround-encoded, 1981 theatrical mix sourced from the 1989 Japanese, Full-Screen, LaserDisc release (WAV file)*
2.0 channel, Dolby Surround-encoded, 1992 mix for the US, Wide-Screen LaserDisc release (WAV file)*All you have to do is mux these files to the MKV video and you are good to go.
Bear in mind that each of these audio files includes the length of the introduction that proceeds the film, so, for best results, apply these files to the original video file that came with litemakr’s release
*audio files were made possible by schorman13 from his Indiana Jones LaserDisc Archive. My thanks to schorman13 for capturing the LD’s audio, for sharing, and for maintaining the archive.
Enjoy.
Thanks a bunch, man! I’m definitely grabbing those 😄.
