He can just remux it with MKVToolnix or tsmuxer or something. If the audio needs to be edited to sync, that should be just as easy. Edit the audio with a throwaway video reference, export only the audio, and mux it. I don’t know all the circumstances though.

The reason you can do that in a Wii is because the Wii also has GameCube parts in it, so when it emulates a GameCube, it’s hardware emulation. Same with the WiiU. Wii Mode on the WiiU is hardware emulation of the Wii, meaning the GameCube controller does not function on the WiiU like it does for the Wii because the WiiU wasn’t designed specifically for that function. Plus, when you plug a GameCube controller in for use on the WiiU, you plug it into a Wii Remote, not the console. It’s not really equivalent.

I mean, sure, the internal hardware is similar, but that wasn’t my point at all. I just said I wanted a new GameCube, that looks like a GameCube, and has GameCube styled controllers, and functions like the GameCube but with upgraded hardware and capabilities. I have a Japanese Mega Drive (model 1 first run) hooked up to a 32 inch CRT via HDRetrovision’s YPbPr miracle products. Outside of getting it region modded some time and possibly getting a nice Sony Trinitron to replace the flat glass screen I’ve got, that blast processing is definitely all I really ever need.
I also have a GameCube that stopped functioning, that’s currently waiting at a friend’s house for a different friend to take a crack at fixing it (since he fixed his own previously).
The rest of my consoles are actually my brother’s. Original XBOX, XBOX 360, PS3, PS4, Wii, extremely broken GameCube. I think that’s it.

With Lost in Space it’s best to just watch the original pilot as if it was a TV movie (essentially what a pilot is anyway). No Dr. Smith or robot, just a pretty serious sci-fi story from the 60s with nice characters.
