Hello everyone! I’ve completed a lot of work on this, and when it gets closer to being finished, I’ll get around to posting a finalized changes list (which won’t be very long). I’m posting now to ask for feedback from anyone who cares. This is my currently finished edit of the “Little Ashes” sequence, which had a couple of shots removed and had the music reinserted:

Those are what the “weirder” stood for. Random WTF moments from Duracell are usually rather entertaining, no matter the scale.

If I’m gonna be honest I actually don’t mind Duracell’s weird and weirder posts. It adds flavor to the forum. Albeit a strange aftertaste.

Don’t feel bad I’m not begging for sympathy or anything. You made a joke about my cat peeing and it made me chuckle because that actually happened. As far as the actual cat goes, I still miss him a lot (I was raised with him), but I’m just glad we got him put down before he suffered too long. It was pretty bad near the end.

EDIT: I have a long and unfortunate history with dead pet cats.

Am I the only person who hates the Romulan redesign? Vulcans and Romulans don’t need to look all that different. They have distinctive features. The Klingon change makes sense because they were originally just humans with brown grease paint smeared on their faces, and… beards. Creating distinctive features for the Klingons just makes them as distinctive as everyone else already was. Vulcans are Humans with elf ears, angry eyebrows, and pale skin. Orion are green Humans. Andorians are blue Humans with antennae. Klingons are now Humans with forehead ridges. I don’t see why Vulcans need to change any more than the rest of them do.

This is a very good movie.

Interlacing doesn’t work well on web video so upscaling a 60i to a 60p preserves all 60 half frames of motion as full frames, giving that nice smooth motion effect. This is what it would have looked like on CRT TVs back in the day.

I’m lost. How can something shot at 30 fps (interlaced) run at 60 fps (progressive) without just duplicating every frame?
