General Star Wars <strong>Random Thoughts</strong> Thread
Time

^Same. Most people I talk to around my age refuse to watch any movie made pre-2000 because they’re so old, and then I contradict them when they watch (or speak of watching) movies like Forest Gump. A lot of my friends joke that I’m the reincarnation of some guy from the 19th century, because I like some older things. So, the product of a generation thing probably happens to most, then the exceptions are those who were properly exposed to older things throughout their childhood, without being given an overly biased opinion from someone else, regarding “new is always better”.

EDIT: Also, I just thought it would be funny to mention, sometime last year, I had to explain to one of my friends what the difference is between good CGI and bad CGI.

What Didn't You Like About ROTS?

^OT stormtroopers aren’t clones. They’re all different heights and sizes and they all have different voices.
But, that may have been what Georgy was goin’ for… I don’t remember.

I believe he was referring to the fact that they made the clones the storm trooper equivalent in the story, rather than the clones being the enemy. My personal belief is that the clone part of the Clone Wars was a Mandolorian clone army that the old Republic (storm troopers) fought against. Making the storm troopers clones in the PT also started the fan confusion about them being clones in the OT.

I was just pointing out that you telling Frink that he knows nothing of the character when you can’t possibly know all there is, because you didn’t create any iteration of the character yourself. You may have opinions about what you interpret from the character(s) you’ve encountered, but you can’t claim you have more knowledge on how the character should be, and to say that Frinks opinion doesn’t matter is just as well as me saying your opinion doesn’t matter. Because it doesn’t. And neither does mine, come to think of it.

I thought we all agreed that you were wrong?

I thought we all agreed you know jackshit about the character and thus any opinion you have on how he should be interpreted is next to worthless?

Also, you don’t know anything more about the character than Frink does, because <insert what possessed said>. You can’t just claim that you know more about a fictional character if you weren’t the creator/writer for said character at some point. And, no, nobody agreed to that statement. You also ended your statement with a question mark.

Blade Runner Color Regrade (Released)
Time

Sorry, I looked for it earlier, just typed in “blade runner”, didn’t work, so I did “bladerunner”, didn’t work, so I checked for some other things. Searched “35mm”, and only three things came up, meaning all of those other things must have been deleted, and that just made me think that the holocaust had already occurred. When I search now, everything comes up as normal. I just don’t know what happened. Thanks for replying.

This appears to have been removed from the spleen in the recent happening. I wasn’t able to acquire it before it was gone, and I was really looking forward to seeing it. To get to the point, will this be put up anywhere else in the future? Or was it already put up somewhere else?

EDIT: Even if I can’t get it somewhere, I want to find the “no narration” audio track at least. Thanks to anyone who can help me out.

…I’m not a fan of any variation of the “Superman is the real person, Clark is the disguise” idea…

Okay, I’m not trying to say “your wrong”, but, that’s literally how the character works. Kal-El is an alien from Krypton, raised by humans on Earth from infancy (given the name Clark Kent), and he disguises himself as a human to fit in with the other humans. He just overdoes it a lot.
