But GL didn’t hardly have to do with Empire at all other than the idea and the early draft. His draft was revised, then that revision was rewritten several times by several people. Lucas was like, standing to the side of the helm, looking at something else.

As long as you disbelieve in all androids, and not just male androids, or female androids, it’s not sexist. But they are all real. Also, is that “racists” (plural) a mistake, or have you been multiple people this whole time?

The United States is declared a Christian Nation.
EDIT: If I remember correctly, that is.
“The United States is not a Christian nation any more than it is a Jewish or a Mohameddan nation” -John Adams
“The government of the United States is not in any sense, founded on the Christian religion. The United States of American should have a foundation free from the influence of clergy” - George Washington
“Religion and government will both exist in greater purity the less they are mixed together” -James Madison
“Christianity is the most perverted system that ever shown on man” -Thomas Jefferson
“Lighthouses are more useful than churches” -Benjamin Franklin
It is of important note that “Under God” in the pledge of allegience as well as “in god we trust” on the money were added in the mid 1950’s as propaganda against “godless communism”
The original pledge of allegiance, as written in 1892 goes like this:“I pledge allegiance to my flag and the republic for which it stands: one nation indivisible with liberty and justice for all”
Okay, okay, I was just goin’ off the top of my head there! That being said…
😉

I could make a quick English version edit from the grindhouse version. Shouldn’t take me too long. Would people prefer…
The original theatrical version or the 1st director’s cut (the LD version)?
is there anything inherently wrong with the LD audio? I would think it would be the highest quality version available…
I’d say go with the LD version, or just whatever will be easier/faster.

I received answers to your questions, sorry if in some way they contradict anything that I might have said before:
Yes the 16mm mono English audio can be included on future releases.
Yes, the first grind house would be just the Italian release with Italian audio, it cannot be easily synced up with English audio as it is a different cut but if anyone wants to create a hybrid version with English audio dubbed-in while waiting on the proper release it’s not a problem from our end.
The proper American cut with original English audio will be released after the complete digital clean-up of the film.
Thanks for the answers. I hope someone can make a hybrid to hold over till the proper English release, because I don’t think I’d like watching it Italian dubbed 😉.

I hate season 2 of TNG for one reason… Dr. Pulaski. Crusher is replaced by this idiot jerk doctor who’s racist against Data (being an android) to emulate a McCoy/Spock style thing, but it just comes off as Pulaski being a racist jerk. After season 2 Crusher comes back, so all’s good from then on.

while Lucas was creative director behind the film.
Well, he wasn’t very involved with the film during production, so I wouldn’t really say creative director.

… In fact, I did think that ESB Lando was pushing up to the limits, but adventure heroes have always sailed off to exotic “lands” and encountered tribal chiefs and bosses. It was ROTJ Lando that went over the top as an allied general in what was, in part, a WWII propaganda feature. He could have served as a Tuskeegee squadron commander. Ackbar was better as an allied naval commander.
Adywan said … Welcome to the real world where there are other colours apart from white. You must really love the prequels with its racist portrayals of characters.
In the mid-seventies, around the release of SW while GL was developing his story, the pop culture figure perhaps considered the funniest and most popular with blacks and whites was J-J from the sitcom 'GOOD TIMES'. His function was to provide zaney, silly humor and to be over-the-top so that the other black characters in the all black cast could seem more straight and reasonable. I can see why those unfamiliar with this would wonder if the character, in isolation, was a stereotype.
What the hell does any of that have to do with what i said about the prequels and their racist stereotypes? afsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsdsd

TV:
- TOS
- TNG
- The rest (haven’t seen but a few episodes of any other series, none look very intersting).
I would suggest watching DS9 if you at all liked TNG. It’s a really good series… until the last season, in which it gradually starts to suck, and the finale is the epitome of sucking for the series. So, just watch the series until that point, and then either prepare yourself or stop watching altogether.

I have some more questions about the US version:
-
Am I correct in assuming that the previously mentioned 16mm prints have mono sound that can be made complete? If so, will that be included on the US cut release, or just LD audio?
-
Am I also correct in assuming that the first grindhouse release (and possibly the cleaned up too?) will just be the corrected scan with it’s Italian audio? Or will an English track be synced with all releases?
Thanks for any answers. 😄

“Us” as in most fans of the OT. Well at least those who won’t dismiss the ST just on the basis that it’s not the OT.
Or on the basis that it’s too much the OT.
Or on both bases.

Ask him.
TFA got us back into the universe we all love, now it’s time for the sequels to tell a more original and hopefully deeper story.

TFA should have told a more original deeper story in the first place, because that would have gotten us back into the universe just fine if done right.

You said trying to understand me is exhausting. Don’t hurt yourself, as in, “don’t hurt your brain dwelling on the point I tried to make”. I know you wouldn’t have done so literally, but it’s like a saying, y’know?
