Is it getting late for you guys as well? Am I doing this right?
I get the feeling that guy likes cartoon toy boobs a little too much…
Yeah it should probably be preserved but the passion that he puts into that first post is bit unnerving.
I think he was going for a humorous effect in his posts. Because of the subject at hand, of course.
OH MY GOD
It’s a pixar short FOR KIDS people!
So, any kids film that includes a scene (or scenes) with women in bikinis is just fine by everyone, but a CG animated short for kids isn’t allowed to have some shots of animated women with unrealistically proportioned boobs? Because our children need to be protected from such inappropriate imagery!
I can see some logic behind the change, but I honestly don’t think it was necessary. Also, I’m not entirely sure why, but the reanimated version looks weird to my eyes. Maybe the exaggerated proportions just fit the animation style more.
Also, “its.” “It’s” means “it is.”
Oh… ooops.
Was there any frustration? I just thought he wanted to learn more about it and preserve it if possible.
I think that both of those should be preserved. Just because you aren’t going to watch them doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be preserved. Boobs aside, Knick Knack should be made available in it’s original version.
Great to hear it, Darth!
I genuinely want to know your beef with the film.
My beef with all the Nolan films is the fact that Batman is a comic book superhero, but they tried desperately to make it overly-realistic and overly-modern, and that makes them fail as Batman films, and they also failed at the realism they were apparently trying to achieve. The films don’t capture Batman. They capture Dude uses existing military equipment to become a vigilante.
For some reason, the uncorrected frame reminds me of the BD. Your algorithms are fantastic, as always, Dre.
Bumping to get what’s his face off the front page
Who is What’s his face?
He has several other accounts here: negative1 and rogue1.
rogue1 was negative1’s sock? I’m socked… I mean shocked!
No you shouldn’t have included anything that isn’t a film.
I don’t have a big problem with listing TV, but I do think that listing TV along with film is a no-no. Separate lists wouldn’t bother me, because the TV list isn’t affecting the film list.
Yeah, I probably should have ranked films and television in separate lists. Hopefully people will understand it.
Fixed.
Why the fuck can’t life just be okay. For like a week. That’s all I want is one good week.
Maybe not drinking your life away would help. Just a suggestion. Alcohol has a way of making sure people don’t have the good time they want.
EDIT: Please don’t take this as condescending, it was just an honest thought. After I reread it, I realized that it could come off the wrong way, so I apologize.
There are people who would literally get off at seeing that…somehow
It’s sad, isn’t it?
Did everyone else watch a different cut of Batman Returns than I did? The one I saw had medocre acting, a poor story, overly campy moments that don’t mesh well with the gothic tone, and about ten minutes of actual Batman. The Penguin was also very cringeworthy.
I second this.
Perhaps the BD will offer multiple sound mixes? That would be interesting.
You want to watch Yoda’s birth?
He is over 800 years old a movie with him as a padawan would be to star wars what silmarillion was to LOTR.
I think it might be interesting although most people are probably sick of SW prequels at this point.
You said “origin story”, which literally means Yoda’s origin, which would be…
…his literal birth…
Is that something you would be interested in, Frink? Anyone? I’m thinking it would show a lot about Yoda’s people.
There never has been a good live action Batman movie ever.
Actually, there has been four.
Name them. I only count two.
EDIT: I meant three, since we’re saying good, not great.
-Batman
-Batman ReturnsAll good.
Fixed.
Fixed more.
True. The Dark Knight is closer to meh than good.
^Except for fan-editors. 😉

Obviously everybody has a different opinion… Furthermore I don’t understand why anybody should really give a shit if someone loves a movie you hate. I hate “Man of Steel” for example, but don’t automatically think anybody that likes it is a moron or has terrible taste.
Agreed. Though, discussing differing opinions is one fun part of this site, is it not?

That’s what this thread was created to do, as far as I know.
Pee-Wee’s Big Holiday
It was every bit as enjoyable as I thought it would be. A great sequel. B++
