…a lot better than Anakin vs Dooku and especially Yoda vs Dooku.
Coming from someone who apparently likes the idea of Yoda in a lightsaber duel.

Even the ridiculous love story of Attack of the Clones seems palatable compared to Revenge of the Sith. At least it’s a story."People are taking this contrarian shit too far. That’s like saying Batman and Robin is better than Batman Returns or Terminator Genisys is better than Terminator 3.
He is right, to an extent. I know I’d rather watch AOTC instead of ROTS simply because of nostalgia, but I can understand seeing it as better for other reasons. I have considered placing AOTC as better.
EDIT: And your Batman comparison is invalid, because Batman Returns is a fantastic film, being compared to Batman and Robin, which is a massive crap-fest. The Terminator one works though, as both of those you mentioned are crap-fests.
AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
Was it ever released by the studio as a DVD or whatnot?
Nope. The scenes from the theatrical and the TV cuts not used (or changed) in the Director’s Edition were included on the bonus disc of the Director’s Edition DVD.
^You’re wrong! 😉 But really, I love both films, and I recommend watching them both.
Isn’t this still on the spleen?
EDIT: Yes, it is. It’s called: Star Trek: TMP [Special Longer Version] FanFiltration
Maybe before Wrath of Khan. I forgot about Bill & Ted too. There are too many good '80s movies for one person!
^That was great! 😄
I wonder why people are having trouble understanding obvious April Fools jokes on April 1.
Thank you for supporting piracy, not the official media, and not the forum rules.
…but that does mean that those that wish to preserve it are wrong for wanting to…
I’m assuming this is a typo.
Warbler, just for clarification, do you agree with my previous point?
Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988)
This is boring…
JUST DON’T WATCH THE PT AT ALL!
Pixar’s shorts are quite an important part of cinematic history; it doesn’t matter how something compares to Star Wars. That’s your only argument whenever you say something isn’t worth preserving. You do realize that regardless of how a films releases have been treated in the past, there are more important films to preserve than Star Wars. The fact that SW has been treated like crap is the only reason it’s seen as more important for preservation than everything else.
Gone With The Wind!
Murder By Death
This!
Great Film, but from 1976
Oh… I forgot… oh well…
^Also this!
Murder By Death
This!
In all honesty, after reading the whole post, I think that it’s actually a good idea if possible. Obviously not the part about putting off all other Despecialized, that would be ridiculous 😄. I know I’d enjoy watching TFA more if it felt more classic.
In a shocking turn of events, Disney revealed their Star Wars projects up to year 2028 - three of them being theatrically released remakes of the original trilogy.

Well… I never would’ve expected that…
I can’t push Time Bandits hard enough. Brilliant film. Almost splurged on the Criterion blu-ray the other day, I think I’ll probably go back for it in the near future.
Time Bandits seem to be one that I haven’t seen but should.
Definitely check that one out. I can’t believe I forgot about it!
Hmm, it’s like choosing between Apocalypse Now and Apocalypse Now Redux?
I wouldn’t compare it to that, because there’s no contest between Apocalypse Now and Redux. The original is best, because Redux only has one additional scene that adds to the film in a positive way (Robert Duvall’s entrance). In the Blade Runner Cuts, there are at least some positives on both ends, though I would go for International or Director’s Cut.
