Well noone has shown any interest so you can all just act like this thread never existed I guess, I kinda like using the standee for my dvd collection lol, but I still wanna get rid of the lithographs, not a complete set, not something I want, so I would be willing to trade them for something! If anyone ever sees this thread, make an offer if you want the lithographs and/or some movie posters.

I never said that you said it sounded too cheesy, I just stated that as another possible reason not to use it, because if you were to fudge the lines I think it could work, but I perfectly understand not changing lines to add an effect, you've got to have some artistic integrity here, unlike the creator lol.

Also I just wanted to ask your permission to use your versions in a (far) future edit, youd be highly credited ofcourse (not to mention if ever I use someone elses edit for my own edits, they get a copy of mine), I'm cutting it together right now using the OUT, I may even release this rough version, but in the end I see my edit using your versions, and I'm stating this now in case I release both versions that way people dont start calling me lucas junior for changing things to my "original vision" because right now there actually are technical limitations, ala your edit not being done lol, but i gotta say thats something im glad to see, because, as stated before, your attention to detail is superb and amazing, keep up the totally awesome super duper great work, we all love everything we see so far!

I went to circuit city and got all three movies for 45 bux so i saved 15 from walmart or best buy, but they were out of the new hope lithograph, but they gave me a standee instead, im willing to trade some stuff lol, see my other thread here: http://www.originaltrilogy.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=8&threadid=6564

I watched all three movies already and my tv has some awesome ability, its zoom function is soooo awesome i swear the dvd looks like its anamorphic, that alone allows me to be 'satisfied' with this release, if no other release was made or no other fan preservations, i wouldnt be nearly as unhappy as i would be without this release, doesn't mean i wont still be grabbing new releases tho, adywans version is more of an edit than a preservation but its the version im most looking forward to, totally new movie, its like super-duper special edition, but its actually good and not a crap lucas production lol

I bought all three of them for 45 bux at circuit city, you would have gotten a better deal and a lithograh you could have thrown on the floor too lol, I am perfectly happy with the release and the money I paid for it seeing as how it was cheaper than the 04 release, i get the out and a COUPLE lithographs I think are really cool, as well as the 04 releases which aren't entirely useless if your adywan! I bought the new out/gout/oot (whatever the hell we are callin em these days) today and I bought them at circuit city, I’m missing the new hope lithograph tho because they were out, but they agreed to give me one of the standees that hold the dvds instead. So im willing to trade the standee for the new hope lithograph. Also I work at a movie theater so I get a lot of posters for free, I have a bunch of random ones right now id be willing to send all of them and/or any future one(s) someone might want as well as the standee for either the tin or the “graphic novels”

If someone took the dvd version and made it anamorphic, added subtitles and instead of just applying filters did the same thing X0 (sorry about the spelling last time) is doing in terms of restorative work, by manually removing dirt and scratches etc. would that not be considered a special effect of some sort, would that be considered a fan edit? If not, what about that plus some work on lightsabers and maybe garbage mattes, then would that be considered a fan edit? Also the Classic Editions, if those were redone with the new oot dvd version then would that still be considered a fan edit? Sorry about all the Q's, I just wanna know where you all draw the line, Thanx!

Well what if someones custom dvd went so far as to change the color and apply filters, would it then be considered a fan edit? If thats not far enough would what adywan is doing be considered far enough, what if someone did the same thing with this version instead of the 04 version? Also will the XO be considered a fan preservation since its using a different source, or will it simply be a custom dvd too, if so, I fully agree with Karyudo, I sure in the heck hope XO puts out one whopper of a How-to!
