It's a new sky when r2 is in the canyon, but this sky is still dark which never makes any sense to me, anyway i like the suns, but ya a lot of the roto looks kinda ruff, and i love the new background when r2 is leaving, but it too looks pretty ruff, i also have another request, when vader is talking to leia, look at her boobs, one of them looks messed up, like its one stacked on top pf another, if this can be fixed that would be cool, keep up the awesome work, i can't wait to see what the final product looks like!

Ya, i ran out of space on my hardrive so i couldn't even finish downloading the whole thing, i had the whole movie, it's just that random blcoks were green and other weird colors, but i skimmed through the movie and all of your edits are great, this is one of those edits where people can look at it and truly say "This is how the movie should have been in the first place!"

Well along with the cleaning up of the video I have the request of semi cropping the left side where the movie doesn't fill up the whole picture, crop down to the video itself, if it's 2.35:1 sweet deal, otherwise just crop it to where it would be 2.35:1 w/o being noticeable and then add black bars to reach 16x9 and upscale to 720x480 encode in mpeg2 and send it back, gracias!

No overscan for sure! Ok, if the actual picture data is 128 pixels high out of 240 then I dont see how the image could be 2.35:1, i'm pretty confused!

Thanx, I'm retarded, I didn't remember the scene and neither did anyone else i talked to about it, well case closed. Also has anyone noticed amything else weird about the musical journey? It looks to me like the colors are different in some places, and some stuff just looked like it was never in the movies but my memory is bad so who knows?

NO, evidently the timing on both my pc and dvd player must be messed up, because at that particular time it shows leia putting a blanket over lukes shoulders inside the millenium falcon!

I haven't yet bought the dvd, i plan to do so sometime in the next few weeks, I don't know what I'll get, if I get all 21 i'll rip it and post it, regardless, if someone else feels like doing it b4 i get the dvd I suggest they put it online for the people who don't end up with all 21, I hope to end up with all of them, but if not this would really help me out, and a few other people im sure, so... request reinstated!

I know certain people like mebejedi are great at doing crawls and would PROBABLY (not volunteering anyone here) be willing to do it if you asked them nicely. You would think after all this time they would get tired of it though and just write a good guide for the rest of us, but alas, perhaps having a monopoly outweighs the work!

Well it is a point to be debated obviously, but as adywan said, it's a long way off, besides if it's left the way it is, it's confusing, as you demonstrated dumb_kid, if Luke is simply a reminder of Padme and that allows his epiphany, things make more since.

Adywan, great shots, didn't even know you were changing the R2 landscape, brilliant idea, beautiful work!

well the video was vcd resolution and i need it dvd resolution, also its 4:3, it's letterboxed, i need the black bars cut down to 16:9, and i dont understand what you mean by overscan, and I guess mpeg2 would be the best bet for format. thanx

Hold on, I'm not finished with that and already I found a way to make it look slightly better. There's no need to include me in the credits, although a copy of the DVD would be awesome.

As for the anamorphic issue, I'm not exactly sure what you mean, the video was rezised to 688x272 and borders were added to reach 720x480 with 2-block overscan in following of FitCD's recommendation. I almoste exclusively encode 4:3 material, so I don't know how to encode anamorphic.

If I understood FitCD correctly, anamorphic for a 2.35:1 source would mean resizing to 688x352, add borders to reach 720x480 and then encode the MPEG2 as 16:9. Ask in one of the forums if that's correct. Also, let me know if you want it to have overscan (all TVs have overscan and eat up some of the image, tha black bars are put so that they don't eat actual parts of the movie) and in what format you want me to send you the finished video (lossless, MPEG2, MPEG4, etc).

Not much change but so far its better than nothing and better than I could do, lol, thank you for your work on this, i'll credit you on the dvd and send you a copy of it too if you want, also if you want me to help in any way on xmen just let me know, oh, and would it be possible for you to upscale the clip to dvd resolution and cut the top and bottom off to make it anamorphic, I'm an idiot at that stuff, if you don't I'll figure out a way but it would probably just downgrade your work and I don't really wanna see that happen, thanx again

Just so that you know I'm trying to make an extended edition of Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back and this clip was not available on the DVD but I want to include it, as of now it is too jarring, I just need it to fit in between the DVD footage without it taking people out of the movie. Thanks again. I'll still help on subtitles, I don't fully know how but once I figure it out I have no problem watching a good show like X-men and typing what they say lol. Aren't you doing the whole saga? If you do Jedi would you consider putting it in their somewhere, like one of the many times Vader pauses and does nothing, extend it, overlay something like that and add some music as well, just a request.

First of all, if anyone has the skill that adywan has at adding in special effects: PLEASE!!! put the phoenix auro around jean anytime she uses her powers!

And secondly... Nevermind this one.

And lastly, I think everyone should do the edit, not just one person, if there is a choice of what alternate footage is used then we may end up with alternate extended edits and we could grab them all and either keep them all or choose which one we like best and keep that, AFTER we have all farily seeded to make sure other people get to make this decision themselves, as opposed to the majority making it for them.

Another suggestion I have, I planned on doing it myself eventually, but I figured I'd tell you, if you liked it you could do the work for me lol, but if not whatever... Anyway in an issue of SW Insider I saw a picture that really tied the prequels to the ot if you ask me, it was a shot from behind vader inside his little capsule thing, and I can't remember if it was a thought bubble or a picture displayed on the big screen, or a new screen inside the capsule, but thats not the point, the point is that what was displayed was a picture of Padme, to show that he is still thinking about her, makes more of an internal conflict in his character that you feel the entire time, rather than a coupla 180s. If you wanted to add it i figured it would be best when he has his helmet off and the dude walks in on him, anyway, think about it!

I'm now using fusion 5, the retail price on the site was around 3,000 us dollars, but there were student prices as well. It's a NICE program! I think it might help me out with my bluescreening a little better than after effects could manage. You still haven't answered my question, are you going to be releasing this?

By the way, how does this work out where a scene was changed, like the speeder with removed elements, obiwans house, the establishing mos eisley, entering mos eisley, establishing cantina monsters, and the greedo shooting scene, and the Jabba scene, or the troops on the dewbacks, or new sandcrawler scene, what about the changed sky and panning in the r2 desert scene, or in empire the new cloud city, or the ice monster scene, or any other shot Lucas saw fit to totally eff up?
