But seriously, someone can just take this here DVD label and replace "Revenge of the Sith" with "Backstroke of the West", leaving all of the Chinese text. I'd do it, but I don't have the necessary tools at the moment.

The alarm bells are ringing for me. Just how many films has Zombie directed besides 1000 Corpses, and Rejects?
It seems a little to soon for a director to tackle a cult classic.

The original was made during the "newish" slasher genere at the time.
Now that everything has been done many times over, would this hold the test of time years after its release like the original (i enjoyed the Chainsaw Massicre remakes but they are not any better than the original - nor would i class them as a classic films)?

Also, anyone know what its costing to make?

I really hope i'm proved wrong but it's going to end in tears for everyone methinks.

As much as i'm drawn to see it, im waiting for the reviews 1st.

Im glad someone put my manga covers to very good use. Looks damn nice. For a release like this its an honour that you used somthing of mine as a part of it. It also has a criterion feel to it, which is always a good thing. Do we get to see the complete package now?

You've got my interest on how the hell your going to do this. Each episode will need to leave a feeling of what happens next rather than a "cut/cue" next episode. Even given that the viewer has seen this before hand. Rather you than me!

Superman 2 RIC in widescreen sounds good to me

I class myself as an 80's child. Because the music, the movies at the time, TV, even the artwork for the promo campaigns, and the imagination, all were freash, and stimulating, not like the borrowed and refreashed ideas that are churned out today. Yeah okay, theres a whole new market that lapps up this borrowed stuff from yesteryear now, but i still think the 80's was a time that could have been expanded upon rather than exploited. Pherhaps, i may be old hat and may even be wrong but some-one please correct me with how the 90's or the millenium has taken this golden erea forward.

Im having major issues with my ISP at home since last night(when i do manage to get it to connect to the net, everything loads as if im back on 56K, and i cant get my e-mails at all). IMDB An 'ultimate final cut' has been released in Germany. It features all known scenes from the director's cut and the cuts of Romero and Argento. It runs 156 minutes.

Meeder i really do hope you take on the ultimate cut in the end, as the idea is frequently gets played with across the net, then it gets deemed undoable, then it seems to get aboandoned (or rather - still undergoing development).
It would be fantastic to see the ultimate cut, yes, but it would be even better to see an OT member as the one who actually conquered it in the 1st place. Not that i want to increase your workload any more than what it is at the moment.

Yeahy. Thank you so much Reverend. Im really looking forward to seeing this. It does take a few days where you leave the computer on constantly and cant use the internet, just to get it to others, but i for one will really apreciate the sacrifice made.

Its a shame some do not share the same enthusiasm in what they have, in the way they longed for these exclusive cuts in the 1st place. The wheel does stop turning with them.

Mcfly89 i think they are two slightly different extended cuts of the film described here, so if your looking for an extended cut without the course language that lorang has obtained then this isn't the one for you. Still, im gonna seed the bugger to death once i've downloaded it, just to get it out there.
