LOST - daveytod edit
Time
85 hours! Yes, but no, but yes, but damn!

This would make a fab box set davey! Yet distribution would be a major problem unless you forward the disks beforehand maybe. Sort of Pay It Backwards.

Myself, i aint ever had a problem playing back NTSC disks in PAL land (as i have the US season 1 import), so i guess it depends on your player.

I always love the deleted scenes, in any edit so, hoorah to that.

Keep pluging away............

Nice. Looks very clean now.

Bugs me a little how the taun taun says "rampant rabbit" as clearly as it does, with the wampas claws inside its throat. Perhaps a little blood spirt from the taun tauns mouth maybe? Hey, how about even over the lens.

How come you reversed the trigectory of the pod blast in the clip? Me thinks its because of the way the pod was launched?

Okay, from a Lucasfilm point of view, what about the atmosphere being so cold, as to giving an artica destortion to what your seeing (hence the blue tint!). Maybe there be strong enough artic winds in the atmosphere to blow a projectile 75 degrees in the other direction too!

Like, how many of you have viewed another planet to tell the difference anyway!

Myself, i just know sits right.

Keep up the work Ady as your on the right path!

That got me thinking about the cave scene. I never could quite accept the "failure at the cave" despite what-ever reasons have been given in the past. So, played with idea of having a different face in the mask, to make the scene less cryptical as to its meaning.

How about Haydens face? NOPE!
Sebastians face? No, as Luke has never met him.
OBWans face? Possibilty, and open for debate.
Then it came to me!

To make scence of the scene, from the trilogy point of view when it was made, Darth Vaders mask should have had LEIA's face inside it!

-It would tell me Lukes training is being destracted by thoughts of his friends, at an early stage, hence Yodas later statement.

-Make Luke feel like he is on the path to the darkside, by destroying people who he loves by being the aggressor in combat.

-And ultimately, he would be able to destroy the only other Skywalker (the final hope) if he maintained his current way of thinking - that making the difference as to why he didnt need anymore training in Jedi, as he had felt it.

It would make total scence of the scene, to me, and give one of those wow, thats been changed for better moments, that i loved many times, during watching ANHrevisited.....

Or, if i want to be silly R2-D2s head, as he'd stuck by Luke through thick and thin, and also serverd his daddy in the clone wars!

Different people will say different things, Darth Solo. For example, I have burned DLs only with Nero and have never made a coaster. (we're talking at least a dozen burned for far) I am absolutely convinced that a lot of people's problems come from burning too fast. I keep it slow (max 4x, often 2.4x) and everything is peachy keen.

And Ady, I will let you know the second I get my disc. Can't wait! (yet I must)

Yeah, ive also been told never to burn a disk at less than its rated speed, but from experience, i always burn at a lower speed than stated out of habbit now.

Give the mail man a kiss every morning. He thinks its weird, but WE know better ;-)

So i may cause issues by using a seperate prog to get it on my hard drive then?

How much interest in a torrent, given the results, of a PAL DVD9?

I guess im a Boba Fett fan then, but with this issue, im sitting on the fence as to what Ady comes up with, as its turning into the Ponda Boba arm thing all over again (to me!).

I have total faith in the editors choices, because it ends up in being the right choice, for HIM, in the end! So it dont matter about my o(pi)nion because i couldnt make this in the first place.

So im STFU, even though i feel like im spamming the hell out of these threads tonight, but Im excited about Adys 1st film (thats all! And, im drunk!....again!) :-)

If you're burning the ISO then that's all there is to it and it should retain the layer change. When I used CDBurnerXP there was no option to set the layer change and I just burned the ISO as is. When I checked it out on a DVD player the layer change was in the exact same place it is on the commercial SW discs - after Tarkin's "Terminate her. Immediately" line.

I also have Nero 8 but as I've said before I don't ever plan on burning DL discs with it because of the problems I've had with other versions of Nero making DL coasters.

Thanks NL197, but im gonna be ripping the DVD with Decrypter, then thats why i asked the question about nero, because of the relibiltiy issues with it. How can i produce a 1-2-1 duplicate of the original disk even if it means not using nero?

Also, how about inserting a scene where the emperor during the hologram sequence, presents an Ewok to Darth Vader then fries him with his fingers, and says "I have for-seen this", just for continuity with your edit of ROTJ? Also can we get a shot of Boba Fett shooting the empror before before he gets thrown down the the exaust port as its his main bounty?

No?

Must.... put... feet... on ...the ....ground, people!

Star Wars fan art
Time
I done vertually everything in pencil when i was growing up. I just wish i had my old drawings as a teen to share in this thread, as everyone said i have a tallent for drawing back then. Unfortunatly, i moved home several times and i lost everything from early doodles, to my A-Level course work, between those times. This thread brought back old memories.
I learnt to draw humans down to Han Solo, and got really good with shading (in mono) with Darth Vader, then i learnt there was more grades of pencil other than a HB4 and everything became easy, except using goash paint!

Yeah, ive viewed that 3 times upto now. Very Deep Impact (minus the rubbish film of course).
Says it all though, when one (talented) fan can create a home project that wow's viewers, in the same way as a big multi million pound FX studios do in Hollywood.

Damn, i wanted to get you to sign my disk for me. Must have not sent that PM then. Anyone ever ask for your autograph before Ady? DAMN IT!

EDIT: Guess i could print out your cover art and send it to you to sign the inlay for me, with a pre-payed envilope inside, perhaps?

What should be bannable offenses on Originaltrilogy forums?
Time
COULD or COULDNT? I dont get the anti-caps lock thing some forums have. Its petty, and its part of DAYVs indiviudualty here. I think its funny, and no where near warrents a banning (its not in the same league as selling edits or whatever). DO people READ posters AND think THEY are YELLING at THEM????? If so Its in YOUR head dude!
Guess IM on the ignore list now! So, for what its worth, which works best? stfu, s.t.f.u, STFU, or S.T.F.U! Incidently, are there any people who get upset about the use of exclamation marks at the end of a sentence here as i wouldnt like to offend ANYONE and run the risk of being banned!

DAYV doesnt use caps on his web page unfortunatly though, exept where he needs to!

Actually DAYV im gonna add you to my ignore list because im turning into a junkie with the ammount of asprin i need to take after your every post!

Here's a suggestion for the original poster.
Buy an Oppo player, unlock the multi-region feature with remote, import DVDs. Yes, it's that simple so stop wasting your time with this.

Christ DarkGryphon2048, that was a bit uncalled for!

How are you checking for differnces between the regions DJ, the only way i know about is on http://www.imdb.com/ which is a ball ache to go through your collection on there, or word of mouth?

I've been away for a while as devorces can mess up your life style a bit, and throw your confidence in people, but thankfully when I got back THIS project was done (for a second i thought it still may be ongoing or worse still, abandoned).

Ive got the XViD (thanx -1 for the torrent over at the demon - im cocomango over there BTW), and, DAMN, for this old school fan, its a shocker!

During the tears of joy i was bleading, so to speak whilst I was watching, my faith in human kindness was really epitomized when i got to this stage becuase i had NO idea it was coming:

http://img186.imageshack.us/img186/2155/darthchronuscreditsmeyv5.jpg/IMG

That was great the second time round playing do you know the member?

Just had to trudged through the last 100 pages to catch up with what I've missed (damn, i should have been working on covers and disk art for the final realease, and ADY wishing you good health, as i had no idea at the time mate).

New set now dedicated to Adys project for me (as i just need a worthy cause):

Okay then, never tried it as yet, but lets see how this works out. Need a DVD edition fom the UK to PIF it onwards (DVD5 would be good but a DVD9 would be fantastic, as ive converted the XViD to DVD but this isnt going to do it this any justice, and is a place holder-i hope). Anyone?

Also, that painting is fabulous BTW. And JD if your reading and need any help.....

As a side note , YES, i do re-edit my every post, because as some-one pointed out to me here, i may be dislexic (and its something i DO have a problem with), and i threfore (<my wireless keyboard skips letters if i type fast there. I CAN see it) have to google my spellings of everything i post. So thats why I do it!

OK, thats off my chest now..........
