Precisely. From now on I'll only write "licence" and "colour".

I actually tend to use british spellings for quite a few words, some like colour is more conscious when i use it but i always spell grey with an e (and spell check always picks it up). Dont really even know why i spell it like that. But im gonna use licence because i always spell the word wrong when i put the s in it.

this site is interesting http://www3.telus.net/linguisticsissues/BritishCanadianAmerican.htm

If you could have one of the following?
Time
I dont think the falcon uses normal gas so i dont think gas prices would be a problem. The falcon would be awsome cause you could just get away from it all (in the most extreme way possible). Though like sessler said, can do the same in the holodeck.

Time machine would be interesting, but there is so many possibilities, such as the limitations and effects that time travel could possible have, so Id have to ask, how does the time machine work. Like in the time machine movie, he changed stuff, but ultimatly the result was the same. or you could inadvertantly cause yourself to not exist.

That makes the holodeck more appealing cause its all the fun with complete safety (except didnt it once go haywire and people were getting killed in it). Yeah, i really couldnt decide which i would want more...they all are/would be awsome in their own way and the more i think about it, the farther from a decision i am

DAYV, I used to play WoW but actually got bored of it. The text based mud i used to play was much more fun/entertaining and had better 'replay' (if i can call it that) value.

Superman Movie
Time
ADigitalMan, after your posts im even more interested in seeing a Donner cut of Superman II or at least the deleted scenes or some kind of workprint/script. PM or email me some more info on that Ultimate Sacrafice scene. Tempted to watch superman II now (well after work), ill watch it in a different light now, with all that info on the refilmed scenes.

I love the Mankiewicz story, gotta love when some stupid person has no clue what they are talking about and someone that knows whats up points it out. Too bad the letter never got published.

Im actually confused on the plotline of the new movie, because if its supposed to follow II what i read/remember reading about the script for Returns doesnt quite fit in continuity, because Superman got his powers back and returned at the end of 2. Basically i remember reading ***possible spoiler follows*** that it starts off with superman returning after a few year absence or something, unless he supposedly took a break (again) after saving everyone at the end of II which wouldnt make any sense considering he came back because he realized leaving was a mistake.

Silver discs are normally good for thermal printers, especially text only.

Inkjet will always come with a white base, although some are better than others.

There is also a spray you can apply to seal in the ink (most ink is waterproof).

As i said in my post a few up, there are silver inkjet printable discs.

here's a link to some silver inkjet printable cd-r's, http://www.meritline.com/prodisc-52x-cd-r-cdr-blank-media-silver-inkjet-printable.html and if they can do it with cd's why not dvds.

I agree with what Dark Jedi said, but wanted to add my 2 cents

They do make ink jet printable, silver discs but I doubt the ones you got are printable. You can always double check with the person that sent them and ask, but they will probably tell you they are just regular discs.

so basically I would do what Dark Jedi said and just make a copy on to a printable disc. It really doesnt take long. and most burning software will do a direct disc copy reading and writing to the same drive. You'll just have to switch the source disc with a blank when the software ejects the source disc. other than that just walk away/do something else while it burns and how long it takes doesnt even matter.

ps. my mom has the R300 (which i use whenever im at my parents ) and I love the thing, but i wouldnt try putting non printable discs into it.

A Question About Torrents
Time
with the folder your showing basically you need to use nero or something like that to burn it to a video dvd. if you load up nero, it will (the two versions im familiar with) either show you a video_ts folder and you will go into that and then select files and select the files shown below. or it will just show a blank file list and you can select the files shown below and nero takes care of the video_ts folder.

if you say which burning software you have I or someone else on the board can prob give better instructions on how to burn it to a dvd.

can you do that? I mean, i dont even know what kind of equipment you would need to 'press' a laserdisc or whatever they do to it. Let alone the converting process. All the stuff for dvds is available to consumers, even if at lower quality...can a consumer make a LD? seems like you would need some expensive equipment.
