Welcome to the forum, Ed! Both Dolby Stereo flavors were last posted May 25, or 69 days ago. Although they've expired from some news providers by now (including mine and apparently yours too) several of the top-tier providers should still have them available. It seems a bit too soon for a repost.
Maybe it's a good time to try UseNetServer's 3 day plan. They advertise 101 day retention. If you're new to usenet, I'll betcha you'd find plenty of other older postings that interest you (besides Belbucus' works) to get good return on a $3 investment.
Moth3r posted the .MP3, and IIRC a lossless .WAV was also posted last autumn.
Since that time Belbucus has revisited this project. He recently released a new version which is resampled @48kHz and sync'ed to GOUT video.
Belbucus writes: A running comparison of the '93 DC/Faces mix (folded down to mono) on channel 1 - to an "in theatre" recording of the "77 70mm 6-track mix on channel 2.

I'd be thrilled to watch MPEG-2 encodes of the raw X0 captures while we wait for Laserman to convalesce. No fancy menus or anything, just bare-bones DVDs of the DC & SC. Call it version zero and put X0 project logo watermarks on if you're worried someone will steal your thunder.
Hey Mark, what's the catalog number of your STAR WARS LP ? I'm guessing the last three digits are "-541" but I can't make out what's before it from the photo.
My own copy purchased in '77 or '78 says 2T-541; however, I don't think mine is a 1st-pressing since it came without a poster. I'm wondering if yours is an older or newer pressing, or possibly a record club issue with alternate catalog number ?
I appreciate your sharing it (since I'm too lazy to order a new belt for my turntable.)

For a non-Cameron example, I believe the European releases of Smokey and the Bandit are 4:3 open-matte. I don't actually own an R2 disc, but I've seen it as DivX or XviD or one of those MPEG-4 flavours.
Originally posted by: Luke_Skywalker77 Sorry, I've been out of it for a while, but what does GOUT stand for?
Originally posted by: Scruffy OUT is Original Unaltered Trilogy, a new marketing term used to describe the 2006 DVD release of the Star Wars Trilogy. Since it's not the original unaltered trilogy, using that acronym represents a sort of intellectual buy-in to a lie. Prefixing it with the G acknowledges this and places the blame for the dissonance where it rightly lies.

I still do. 230k on the clock, and I suspect it was rolled back before I bought it. Before it I had a Dodge Omni (same thing) and before that another Ho' They don't make 'em like that anymore!
Belbucus' Dolby Stereo (both flavors) now posting to a.b.starwars. Previously posted last October. This conlcudes my reposts. Now it's Moth3r's turn....
