No kidding. There are two theatres in my town--a 2-screen that's been reduced to charging a buck a ticket, but only plays older or niche movies, and the new eight-screen which basically feels like they can charged whatever the #%@& they want since they're the only theatre with the popular movies in town. I think it's like $5.75 for a weekend matinee there.

It's 'Revenge of the Sith' repeat phobia. Revenge of the Sith, most of us loved it the first time...

Then, we see it again, and we don't like it as much, and it gets less enjoyable after the first viewing. Maybe the entire movie-going public has been conditioned to just avoid second viewings.

Revenge of the Sith was the last movie I saw in theatres twice.

I know there are game types that just work better on the PC. The problem is that anytime I try and play a PC game, there is always SOMETHING wrong with it. Graphics card isn't good enough, the CD drive is busted, Direct X 9.30394 is not supported by this version of Windows, blah, blah...

With a console, you get it, and every game designed for it works, and works at the same level no matter what year you bought the console.

So... who wasted precious time and money watching Superman: Brainiac Attacks?

I was excited when I heard about that release but after reading several HORRID reviews of it I decided to spend my money elsewhere. That bad, hunh?

Same here, Capt. It isn't really even a DCAU project--they just reused the character models so they could crank something out fast to promote/cash in on the release of Superman Returns.

They need to start makign Superhero films about some of the more interesting B-Listers. Why don't Guy Gardner or Nightwing--or even Tim Drake--get their own film?

DC (and I'm sure Marvel as well) has so many great characters that aren't as popular as the big names. (The fact that Ghost Rider is getting a film is a step in the right direction. I just hope it doesn't suck.)

That's not a complement. That's a fundamental law of the universe.

Seriously, HvIJ, it wasn't really as bad as you're making it out to be. The lead actors should have been older, definitely. But I don't think it detracts enough from the movie overall to completely write it off.

I would contend that even if we never get a real release of the OT, Star Wars won't be dead.

Star Wars is freaking STAR. WARS. It changed the film industry more than any other film in history. The universe is one of the most profitable ever created. And even with the SE changes, the core appeal of the movies still shines through all the stupidity laced over top. THe original prints still exist on the internet and on fan-made DVDs. You can't kill Star Wars by not releasing it on DVD. It's grown far beyond that.

So, basically, this thread is stupid.

That's all I have to say.
