That would be akin to someone voting for a presidential candidate simply because the candidate was handsome.

Skyjedi did what he always does. If his compulsive rants disturb you, I'll remind you of the ignore button.
Hardly every time he makes a post. Only twice so far, both in reaction to him giving other people trouble in a way that reminds me of the trouble he gave me.
If you're pissed at me for getting you pregnant, go get an abortion.
From what I can tell, he's still holding a grudge from an ancient debate we had, even though I already apologized if any offense was made toward him. He tries to make me out as the local forum bully. If you ask me, the only bully is in his mind.
Quarrels?
I used to watch some of "Even Stevens", Shia's big debut in entertainment. I couldn't stand his guts, I just watched it for his character's sister (Christy Carlson Romano or something... she went on to do the voice of Kim Possible).
*is at it again*
I think it's adorable, you buddying up to C3PX. Following my advice on pack theory was a wise decision.
There's no way I can agree with ConfusedMatthew on this one. It was a great film. It brought Star Trek into a modern era while being very respectful of the classic material, and all the while remained its own entity.
I look forward to the next two films.
TheBoost said:When the trailer came out, a friend had a VHS, and we watched it... 30 times that night at a party. Loved every second of it. I expected to love it, and I did.
Saw TPM at midnight, again the next morning, drove to Las Vegas and caught it again the next day.
It wasn't for a few weeks (and two more viewings) that I started to get annoyed with Jar Jar.
The only merchandise I had was the novelisation I picked up later that summer, and a Qui-Gon cup I still dont know where it came from.
Between TPM and AOTC, my friend got a copy of the book from the library. I asked him what he thought about it later, and he said "I can't read it, it's too detailed."
1. What were your expectations going in Episode I?
I can't clearly remember what exactly my expectations were. I assumed it was going to be great, I know that much.
2. What did you think of the trailers released in 1998/99?
Enjoyed them.
3. Did you read any SW Insiders magazines, spoilers on the internet? Anything from them that stuck out to you?
At that time, I was 10, and didn't even use the internet until about a year after its release. And I never picked up any magazines back then.
4. What did you think of the hype in the Spring of '99, as it seemed like every entertainment show was talking about the first SW film in 16 years?
Even as a kid, I remember finding the hype borderline annoying.
5. Did you collect any of the toys, or the merchandise from Taco Bell I think? or was it Burger King?
I collected a BUNCH of the Pepsi cans with the different characters on them.
6. When did you finally see it, opening night? opening weekend? wait for the crowds to die down and saw it later in the summer?
I saw it pretty close to the premiere, but not opening night.
Rifftrax are unfunny to me. I could invite a few friends over, and we could do a much better "commentary" to whatever movie than they could. And I can't believe they actually charge people for Rifftrax either.
Is there any greater website in the universe? Not even close. I still like it though.
Seems to me there is an incredible amount of families out there who really want to adopt kids and give them a good life, but have to wait years and years for one, yet here we are talking about mercy killings of inocent lives so they don't have to go through life unwanted.
That's the fault of the system, not my argument.
Don't talk through your ass. It is bad manners. (No offense of anything, it just needed to be said). If you look closely at how the guy's talking, you can see where I'm coming from. Try it.
No, it is not ignorant. Unless someone can prove to me otherwise, most abortions are due to neglectful women who have unprotected sex.
I think your sex life is down the hole, so you wish to put restrictions on other's sex lives in order to feel like you have company, so to speak.
Anyway: prove that most abortions ARE due to neglectful women who have unprotected sex. Sure, some are, but some pregnancies are total accidents after steps were taken for pregnancy to not happen.
She needs to suck it up and have the baby, even if she was raped, she could pass that child on to adoption and allow the result of a tragic moment for her be turned into a lifetime of love for another.
So you want to sentence the child to a life-time hell of children's homes and foster parents? The merciful thing to do with an unwanted child who is the product of rape is to abort it, at least while it's still in the early stages of development, when it has no thought, no feelings, no dreams, or identity of its own. It is indeed extremely ignorant to not take a closer look at what that child would be going through if they were put up for adoption. An unwanted child's life isn't a bittersweet Disney fairytale. It's cold, gritty, and highly traumatic.
Never quote me on something I never said, CompMovieGuy. Double check who said that.
"She should have chosen not to get pregnant." Yeah, because that statement isn't all kinds of ignorant.
The condom may have broken. The birth control may have not worked for whatever reason. Maybe she was raped in an alley somewhere.
I love children. What little real joy is left in the world undoubtedly comes from them. So I am pro-choice as long as it happens in very early stages of the fetus' development.
I don't get a headache. And I want to see some of those space battle in 3D. Anyone with a sense of fun would want to.
C3PX said:CompMovieGuy said:Im in favor of any type of population control.
Me too. Personally, I think we need to build a large number of "death camps" around the country. Each of these death camps will contain some means of disposing of a mass quantities of body in some enviromentally green way. Maybe even figure out a means to convert this human matter into some form of fuel.
Anyway, we use these death camps to flush out our prisons. Then we start giving the death penalty for most severe crimes. Rape, murder, child molestation, kidnapping, attempted murder, etc. All these kinds of offenses will earn you a 1 way ticket to the death camp, where you will be taken care of.
I think this will be a good method of weeding out "problems" from our society, while severly discouraging these kinds of crimes, as well as provide a good means of controling the population.
I'm DarkFather, and I approve this message.
I'm more interested in a theatrical 3D release of all the films.
Anakin almost never whines in the The Clone Wars, what are you talking about? He's Anakin as we all imagined him in the early days before the PT.
You can make all the smartass "clever" comments you want, fact is he had a strong creative influence.
Oh my gosh! The Leonard Nimoy stamp of approval! That is most impressive!
From the exact same Leonard Nimoy who brought us the album Mr. Spock's Music From Outer Space, the fine single The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins, and the masterpiece photography book The Full Body Project (featuring photographs of fat women in the buff, taken by good ol' Leonard himself).
Mr. Nimoy has brought us some fine products in his time, glad to see he is still at it.
You do realize he had a strong creative influence on TOS?
