Another idea.....as an alternative to Anakin getting Mace's items wrong perhaps Mace can just be playing Donkey Kong or something and simply be oblivious to Anakin rattling on?

Regarding the menus...I recall being pleasantly surprised with ANHR as I was just expecting the movie. I'm curious to see what we get this time around.
Perhaps Vader's meditation pod and the big screen can be the scene selections?
Unless I missed it here's something I don't recall seeing too much talk about. The menus....at what point does AdY begin that process? Is is something he'll be doing last?
Any word or details on what the menus may look like this time out?

^^ Hmm interesting. Haven't read the novel myself. From your description though that sounds kinda like a wussy move for Obi Wan to just hit the road at the sight of Palps shuttle. If anything, you'd think he'd stay because seeing the shuttle would let him know that Yoda failed to defeat Palps, and so he might want to try finishing him off himself.

I imagine our first viewings of the edit are going to inevitably be a game of "spot the changes"....but ESB is so good it's hard not to get into the story.

Anyway....great color corrections as usual AdY and thanks for the sneak peek.
At this point I think I'd prefer to see the new wampa when I see ESBR. I think that way will add to the overall experience.
However, if AdY hypothetically put up a teaser pic or something I might give in and check it out, lol.
I guess the new Emperor was the big important change, and imo that came out perfectly. I couldn't be any happier with that.

Hoth showed up in the Clone Wars cartoons....there may or may not have been some local wild life in the background that could be used. Even if they are cartoony style they might be so small in AdY's edit you wouldn't even notice.
The early drafts and the much more brasen trecherous version of JERJERROD has always intrigued me as well. It certainly would have been an interesting twist but I'm not sure how it would have all played out. I don't recall, but what happened to JERJERROD in the end of the early drafts?
Yoooo, this scene is a wrap, AdY you knocked it out of the park man. The differences are especially noticeable in the comparison vid. Even the subtle dialogue tweaking which initially I wasn't sure about works beautifully.
The color corrections most of all are outstanding. The movie looks like it was shot yesterday, and this is just youtube clips compressed to death.
We should all be grateful, we finally have ROTJ Palpatine in friggin' ESB! This is something that has been on our nerd wish-lists forever. I can almost guarantee the blu-ray's in September will likely just be the same 04 Palpatine version untouched. I'll be shocked if ILM makes the effort AdY has to improve the hologram for consistency.

I also dig the idea of real guys in suits for the PT. I am shocked that GL went 100% digital with the clone-troopers, even in closeups.
It's not that they look bad exactly, I guess they even sort of fit with the cartoon-ish artificial world of the prequels. But guys in gritty suits (at least for closeups) would make a world of difference in helping to just ground things a bit.
Nice catch..........I wouldn't be surprised if it was something AdY already caught and fixed.
Because of the nature of the film its difficult to turn Vader into the ESB version we'd like him to be more in ANH. He simply wasn't written that way back then and the whole saga was basically just vague notes.
However fortunately "difficult" doesn't mean impossible...in fact it makes things interesting. : )
This is why I'm loving the suggestion thus far about giving him a genuine moment of his own to "meditate" and sense Obi-Wan as opposed to that moment just being a matter of fact sort of thing.
Also Jai's vids showing Vader moving slower and my mp3 with the lowering of his voice are all small things that can make a huge difference.
