Here's an easy edit that could help the believability aspect of the ewoks helping to defeat the stormtroopers in ROTJ.

Basically I subtly altered Palpatine's dialogue so that instead of boasting and exclaiming "an ENTIRE legion of my BEST troops awaits them" he instead simply says "a legion of my troops awaits them".

To me this change still gets the same frightening / threatening point across however the viewer no longer expects to see some awesome killer stormtroopers in action. Also, the point is no longer stressed that the troops are "the best" which they clearly aren't.

^^ Very cool! I like that. Personally I'd love to see something like that somewhere in TPM.

Here's what I was mentioning earlier although I suppose it might fit more for a ROTJ discussion.....I just added in your version of the eyes and did a little cleanup / sharpening.

Cool tweaked palps! I think ideally if we were to see Palpatine from the OT perhaps with some enhanced eyes and Palpatine from ROTS somehow thinned out a bit and some of his more corny moments excised he'd match up a bit better.

Visually Palps looks really close to his OT counterpart in TPM and AOTC, so at least they got that right. It seemed like by the time ROTS came around they got a little too creative with the makeup and Ian had gained a few pounds.

I like the gray and nasty look as well. The stormy clouds are awesome as well and very appropriate. For me it almost feels more gritty and realistic which is something that the PT lacks in many areas. Yeah I know its SW and its a fun, fantasy universe but sometimes its good to ground things a bit too - such color changes could do that.

The standard over saturated orange is interesting as well......but it feels so dream-like and cartoony.

Just my 2 cents.

Cool....I like that mockup of the ice wall reminiscent of the original drawing.

I think we've all managed some nice ideas and possibilities regarding this particular scene.

In any case I can't wait to see AdY's take on this quick scene.

Thanks guys. Back when I was drawing comics and had issues with backgrounds sometimes I found an option was to just creatively block out the problem spots. lol

The problem to me is like the forground figures are sort of lost in space hovering above everything.

In this example I tried to ground them in a dark control room and out the window we would see all of the action of the transports and the people hurrying around.

Obviously an alt. would be a brighter control room or something like that but at least from this you guys can see what I mean. If there were originally an establishing shot of the guys up on a raised platform this shot wouldn't seem so weird.

Excellent work on those Jaitea. I can't even decide which one I like best as they all look pretty cool.

Do you think you might proceed to try one with the classic music and maybe a little bit of the crawl just to get a sense of how that would play?

^^ What everyone's saying is sorta related to the quick pic I posted with the coverings over the beam of light.

Just thinking maybe if the light were obstructed a little bit it wouldnt draw your eye so much to it.

Excellent work Jaitea.......I also really like the idea of the the mouse-droids being a little more versatile. Sort of like how we got to see the R2 units on the outsde of the ship in TPM making repairs, I thought that was a cool bit.

I wonder if in some of the test shots (where you guys are animating these awesome beams of light energy) how it might look if the beams were perhaps encased in tubing/covering and only through windows or openings in the tubing could we see the electricity flowing.

Just an idea...not sure though. So long as the tubing doesn't take away or obscure too much of the cool new visual.

Aside from the multiple plot issues as previously mentioned which would have to be addressed I would hesitate to cut out so much of the big conclusion of ep.3.

"I know the whole burning and chopping thing looks pretty cool and it allows using the whole Vader transformation scene (which is also cool), but we could live without it and just imagine that Vader became robotic somehow in the time between EPIII and EPIV."

Personally I'd hate to edit out Anakin becoming Vader. For me at least - that's such an awesome and iconic moment in the saga. I dig almost every bit of that from the moment Anakin is violently cut down to his ultimate grisly transformation.

Those are my favorite moments of ROTS.

He's fixing things some of us probably never noticed. I'm going to check for those last two instances now.....

The only other continuity thing I can think of is a shot sometime around when Boba escapes with Han....we see Lando in the background (He's blurry and I think right behind Leia)) almost as if he's relaxing or at ease - but in the next shot he's back to looking very tense.

I'm sure this has already been worked out but I was just thinking instead of a 75 that big open space would be a perfect pan up into ADYWAN's official name/logo instead for his project.

Using the soundboard Vader dialogue I tweaked some of his isolated ANH phrases.

I gave him a deeper tone, slowed him down a bit and gave him more heavy bass similar to the following two films....

I've only seen it once. I watched it with rifftrax...I couldn't imagine just watching it without the jokes and commentary though.
