A Flash of Spoofs (Released)
Time
I open Nero and drag the VIDEO_TS and DVD_ROM folders into a my video project. If I omit the DVD_ROM folder everything fits just fine. However I'm afraid if I do that I'll lose something cool. I like all the images in the folder and I didn't know if they were part of the extras.

Forgive me if I sound ignorant on this subject. I really appreciate your help in this.

which version do you have? The single layer or the dual layer? You can burn both with nero, you just have to have a dual layer burner (and discs) if that is the version you have.

I have the DVD5 version that was uploaded to myspleen. I do have a dual layer burner. But will I still need dual layer discs to burn this version?

Thanks in advance for your help.

(SPOILER) new "STAR TREK" 2009 spoiler thread (SPOILER)

My personal take on Nemesis is that it was basically a re-write of Wrath of Khan. Couldn't we of had something original for this?

As for continuity of ST, while I didn't follow it all closely, didn't Enterprise wreck quite a few things, such as bringing in Romulans when they were supposed to have not been heard from during this time? I know that I've heard many Star Trek fans blast Enterprise for this reason, among many others.

The Nemesis comment is spot on. That's exactly how I felt and I was at the damn premiere. I also have many friends who worked on Enterprise. I love these people but I would never tell them my true feelings about that show.

Enterprise is an abomination that should be wiped from the memories of every ST fan on the planet. I know a lot of Classic Trek fans are fond of saying "Gene wouldn't have done this, Gene wouldn't have liked that." For the most part I dismiss this sort of talk. However this is one case where the dissenters are right. Gene would have hated Enterprise.

PS: Rick Berman privately believes he did more for ST than Gene. Just throwing a little gossip into the mix.

A Fan Edit DVD Trading Section

We have some tutorials already in the technical help forum, but we would welcome more contributions.

I can understand that. No one wants to get a cease and desist letter. However isn't talking about file sharing and where to acquire the films more trouble than friends trading in good spirit? Somehow trading seems like it would be less offensive to the copyright police than downloading from torrent sites and newsgroups.

And what if there were a few basic ground rules to this section? Like no one with under a certain amount of posts may join. It could also be a private forum. And maybe users could only post their interest in trading and contact information only. No actual lists posted in the forums. All trading lists exchanged in private.

Anyway, please don't see this post as challenging your authority. I'm 100% positive you know more about the legality of this idea than I do. Honestly, most of what I have written was just thinking out loud. However if any of it seems plausible to you, please give it your consideration.

Many Thanks.

A Second Idea:

I would also like to add that DVD Related Tutorials be included in this proposed section. Tutorials related to DVD Burning, Formats, and even things like Cover Printing Advice.

If you'll notice these are all popular subjects in the Preservation and Fan Edit sections. I hope you'll consider this idea as well. Hopefully it will add strength to my earlier suggestion.

(sorry for the double post. I just wanted to keep the two ideas seperate)

A Fan Edit DVD Trading Section
Time
Hello and Thanks for Reading,

I would like to suggest a DVD trading section. This would be a seperate section than the usual Fan Edit and Preservation areas. Those areas are so hectic that I feel trading discussion would be lost and/or ignored.

I have a large SW DVD collection. Everything from Fan Films, Deleted Scenes and several Edits. It would be nice to have a place to trade and share my collection with others. Please consider my idea.

Many Thanks

STAR WARS: EP IV 2004 REVISITED ADYWAN *1080p HD VERSION NOW IN PRODUCTION
Time
Adyway, I just finished watching this movie and I am completely blown away. Its like watching Star Wars again for the first time. The production values are magnificent and I love all the new shots. I almost want to call this the "Extra Special Edition."

And I can't help but think that you may have given Lucas a few ideas. Especially concerning your choice of musical score during the final duel.

Outstanding work. I thank you from the bottom of my heart from one Star Wars fan to another.

Cheers.

That's the first thing I thought.

Anyway, I thought this video was a giant Rick Roll?

There were people like this at the midnight showing of EP1. Handing out flyers and such. It all turned out to be a big spoof. I kind of thought it was funny so I kept one of the flyers. I tried to find it for this thread but no such luck.

TCSW004 - A Flash of Spoofs (single layer version)
TCSW005 - George Lucas: All Things Digital

I actually just finished Flash and Revenge this morning and these are both excellent pieces of work, worthy for any Star Wars fan's collections.

Those two are next on my list. I'm still trying to seed Star Wars: Lego Edition. (Which is awesome, BTW)

Still I can't wait to see Flash and Revenge. Especially "Flash." Red Foxx, lol!
