Halo 2
Time
Anyone remember Turok's control scheme? Took some getting use to, but it was awesome on the N64. Turok 2 and Goldeneye were the best shooters for that console generation, and it's sad that something like Halo is the next "best" thing.

Seriously, the game Halo was and is overrated. I have hopes for the new one, yet my expectations are exceedingly low.

Perfect Dark wasn't as polished as Goldeneye was. The graphics weren't as crisp, the handles weren't as tight...granted, it had tons of bots and more weapons and levels (same as Halo has Warthogs and grenades), but that doesn't necessarily make it a better game. Take Vice City for example. VC had more cars, weapons, character voiceover, and friggin motorcycles, but was it better than Grand Theft Auto 3? Overall, no- most people were blinded by the gimmicks. San Andreas is the next stage in the GTA universe, building on the added bonuses of VC but taking it to a new level of realism, not to mention immersion (bald cueball, goatee, stylish suit, you are now Sam Jack).

Thought of something else that I hate...

People who hate U2 for no reason other than Bono is trying to make a difference in the world.

Let's see...what do I hate...

Hip-Pop

My Generation (reality tv, hip-hop, beanie babies? We suck!!)

The Vikings (Go PACKERS!!!)

John Kerry

Liberals

Wacky Environmentalists

Christian Fundamentalists

Islamic Fundamentalists (and they hate me too!)

The NBA (as apposed to college ball...but go TWolves anyway)

Fanboys (get over the SE, morons)

The WB (cancelled Angel, right when I became a fan)

Jimbo (this manic depressive manager of mine)

50 Cent

Napolean Dynamite

Hockey

Tobacco

Marijuana (seriously, the world would be better without these two...)

Clear Channel Communications

Halo (overrated, sucked)

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (not as good as GTA3 or San Andreas)

Political ads (althrough i know one of the Swift Boat Vets for Truth)

I'm sure there are more...

Ok, what the heck was with T'Pol getting married? I'm glad they are not gonna follow the standard "drama" formula (Trip stands up, wins T'Pol) but are trying something new, but still...it hurts.

Enjoying Brent Spiner, anyone? So far, so good...I just wish Star Trek would get the recognition it deserves, as well as the respect and viewership.

Important news for vegans and women!!!
Time
Recent studies have shown that the popular "morning after pill" was tested on animals. During initial testing periods, a large number of animals, including dogs, were subjected to the pill; there were unfortunately a few deaths.

How does this effect women and vegans? For most women it doesn't...but for vegans, that's another story. Thousands will hear the news and then be pregnant within 24 hours. It is estimated that Moby will become the father of fifteen.

Ladies and Gentlemen, be warned: if your wife or girlfriend is on the pill, make sure it wasn't one tested by animals.

I'm curious...what are atheists denying? I mean...if there ISN'T a God, then Who or What are they denying? How can you claim to believe something doesn't exist if it already doesn't exist? I choose to not believe that the OT exists on licensed dvds...yet surprisingly they already don't. See my point?

I would encourage (Reg was it?) to actively seek out people who truly know the Bible...and I'm afraid I can't think of even one Catholic who can answer any of your past/present questions. Obviously since you are a member of these forums you like fantasy/science fiction...tell me, do you like C.S. Lewis or JRR Tolkien at all? Both men where Christians, and i know Lewis recorded his journey from being a rather violent and active athest and agnostic to becoming a Christian. Mere Christianity by CS Lewis. Check it out.

Bringing this topic back to the legally elected President Bush...you know, radical Islam wouldn't exist without being like Reg and their mirror counterparts. Both the "extreme fundamentalist" and the "totally agnostic" are equally dangerous. You can't be either one of the extremes.

As for Kerry...nope, not a valid candidate. Section 3, Article 3 of the Constitution...treason is defined as "giving aid and comfort to the enemy"...well, Kerry did exactly this when protesting the Vietnam war WHILE STILL UNDER OATH. He betrayed his oath and his country, and it turns out it wasn't even for a noble cause. Based on the Constitution, I believe it's illegal and unconstitutional to elect John Kerry.

That said, I hope you all have pleasant day/night.

Star Wars Radio Dramas - a general discussion thread
Time

Still the best version of Star Wars out there, in my opinion. I’m just mad that they aren’t (yet) making radio dramas for Episodes 1-3.

Anyone else like these as much as I do?
