Although, I think that each of the four screenshots could have done with a label to show which chapter they represent.

I was pleased with the effectiveness of the logo removal script. I would also stress the importance of viewing on a display with properly calibrated black levels - on the initial black screen between the TriStar logo and the opening titles, I could see a shadow when viewing on an overly-bright LCD, but this was not visible on a plasma that had been calibrated with DVE.

Yes Moth, I agree with you, the scene selection could have used alittle more "description" or numbering to identify the chapters. This did cross my mind when putting it together, but when thinking about what I could do, I realize I couldnt really do anything without going back to the person who made the menu art since I didnt have his fonts (he can take a while so it would have been a longer wait) and if I started to add stuff it would have looked awkward. In the end I ended up using the selector bar just being visible on the page selected and concluding that was enough.

And yes, I agree with you on the logo shadow on a non calibrated display. If you have your contrast/brightness/backlight cranked high, it will be noticeable.
When all those settings are where they should be, it should be almost unnoticeable, like I said in the post above.

Edit:
Also each page starts off at the first chapter for that screen, so it should go 1, 5, 9, and 13

And the chapter scenes arent exact matches of points in the movie, instead I purposefully chose chapter scenes pictures in the menu of points that were to depict what scene that chapter was suppose to represent, what part of the movie was coming up, sometimes the pictures are only 5 seconds ahead of the chapter point, sometimes they are minutes ahead of the chapter point, but in the end rest assured, this was done on purpose

1. Glitches....they are on the source and if you check EVERY source, including VHS and LD the same glitches show up on them as well, and yes they are on the SK edition........that is not something I missed, just something that is a part of the source

2. The files uploaded on usenet are the same rar files that were put up on other sites. When you extract the rars, you get a IMG, mount/burn the IMG and the JACKET_P and DVD_ROM will be in there, those files should be inside the IMG file

Well I looked and I do get TCM, but it is only the SD channel, I do not have its HD counterpart

I will keep an eye out and when it airs, Ill try to cap it, and if its not encrypted, Ill send the files your way

Please just remind me a few days before it airs by bumping this thread so I dont forget

Edit: Is Turner Classics and Turner Classic Movies different channels? Because I get TCM, and I just did a search on my guide and I dont see that movie coming up

Im glad you like it, I know it is a bit long (30 seconds) but I felt the information is important enough for me to extend it from 15 to 30 seconds, and people actually read it while not hindering their viewing pleasure.

When any of you get a chance to sit down and get some popcorn out, I would love to hear your opinions on the quality and the authoring. If you see any mistakes I made or something I overlooked, Id love to know. I think I caught everything, but never know. Also anything you might not have liked or perhaps something you did like, all criticism or praise is welcome.

I got confirmation that at least one of the contributors have received all their files and viewed the final product, they were very pleased at the outcome

A side note:
This may be common knowledge but I figured I would discuss it alittle

Depending on your hardware DVD player, it may or may not be beneficial to output the DVD to 720x480i thru HDMI and let your TV do the scaling

Of course if you have an Oppo, then this probably doesnt apply to you, but if you have a cheapo upconvert DVD player or perhaps a BluRay that doesnt handle DVDs well then you might want to take a look into it, compare its 1080i/p to its 480i pass thru and see how your TV handles the scaling

On one of my older upconverts, the 480i thru HDMI to the TV looks better than the 1080, probably because its older hardware perhaps
