Would you rub another man’s rhubarb pie?

That would depend on the flakiness of the crust.

Did your penis flake?

Two questions.

  1. How did you manage to find that originally?

He probably went to the last page of the forum.

And I think this proves that anyone who does that deserves to fall off.

I did that the other day.

Just some thoughts on why the comedy didn’t work for me all the time: the way the characters reacted to the jokes was “unnatural” for Star Wars movies, and for most real situations in general. We’re used to that in marvel movies at this point, but I personally think they went too far in both TLJ and TFA. RO’s humor works perfectly for me though, and I think that’s largely because the characters’ reactions to the funny things seem more natural.

Examples please.

The reaction of the imperial trooper to Kylo choking Hux. “Right away sir”. I don’t have a problem with anything except the delivery. He should be scared as hell or something but he’s just saying funny one liners. Compare that to everyone’s reactions to Vader’s chokings in ESB. It makes it all look like a skit something made purely for comedy, and I personally prefer comedy when it comes naturally.

The “busy day” joke. That’s something really weird and disrespectful to say if you’re Rey. Sure Luke disrespected Yoda at first, but after he learned his true identity it was nothing but respect. I was ok with the nowhere joke and the tickling joke, both work really well and feel more natural.

FWIW the one you just quote from RO (choke on your aspirations) was one of the few in RO that annoyed me.

Agree.

The gun Rey used in Takodana was one of the most toy-y guns yet in the Star Wars saga in my opinion… the royalty ones that Padmé used in TPM looked like something that came out of a James Bond movie.

Have a hard time agreeing with either of those statements.

We’ll have to agree to disagree, then! Rey’s gun looked nice and different, and I really liked its design. I just think it was a bit too toy like.

Warb, men are physically more capable than women in several aspects, like you mentioned previously. Thats a fact. The thing is, sports judge those exact feats in which men are superior to women. Dahmage asked why is that, because that will inevitably make women “less capable” in sports than men since we’re judging something that men are biologically superior on, so of course women can’t keep up.

I personally think women might be naturally better shooters or better videogame players than men, so that’s why I mentioned videogames.

I hope this clarify some things.

Anchorhead said it would be unexpected. And it was, because he isn’t very fond of ESB. I simply said that the part he linked might as well be one of my favorite parts of the film which got me thinking about what my favorite part would be in the first place, so I posted the post you quoted, but that had nothing to do with what Anchorhead said being unexpected or not.

“Every single shot has a visual effect”

I don’t think that’s the case for TFA (besides obvious like coloring). And even if it is, it blends with practical so well you can barely tell the difference.

It’s quite possible that it’s the same thing for TFA, but it’s so common nowadays that it’s not even worth mentioning, pretty different from how it all was in 1999.
