The machine is giving me no signs of life whatsoever, no fans, no hard drive noises, nothing.
It appears to draw power for about two seconds, which I only can tell because of a USB thing I have plugged in. I tried resetting the PRAM and the SMC. I took out the RAM to make sure it wasn’t either of the memory modules. It’s not the charger either, as that charger is able to charge my 2007 MacBook that’s been collecting dust and isn’t useful for anything.
The computer simply will not boot for anything, nor will it reach the POST. Again, it’s not even giving me any indication that it’s doing anything whatsoever.I’m not sure if it has to do with the logic board, or anything else like that. I know that I can’t invest anything further in this machine at all, and I am simply unable to get any more hardware at this point in time. I’ll keep trying to get it to work, but I wonder if some sort of fundraising effort might allow me to get a low end, similar error machine to be able to replace it and finish the work. A quick survey of eBay suggests that scraping together $500 might allow to replace it with something pretty comparable that may work. Again, really hoping it doesn’t come to something like that. I just don’t know.
That sounds like a terrible nightmare, I’d die if this happened to my Mac, 2011 is a little far back on the back burner for my taste, I hope you manage to find a way to get it working, if you’re unable todo so I wonder if someone in the community will be willing to help you get things done on the edit, if you do something like that just make sure its someone you can trust with the edit, maybe ask if Popsketti would be willing to pick things up, he’s the only editor I can think of that’d be able todo it on same level as you anyway.

Did anyone think about giving Palpatine red lightning ? Personally would love the contrast between a slight blue hue and the red lightning. Even more colorful final battle with the purple and blue sabers.
Like the red Mortis force lighting from Clone Wars, that would be awesome. If you needed a reason for it could be from Palpatine intaking the powers of the dyad, don’t think Hal will wanna do it though. If not put it in thread really wanna see that.

I think It’s because his son is essentially a unnatural clone, Rey is the first born naturally with two parents, sharing Palpatines DNA and then inheriting the power properly.
Rey’s dad just had midichlorian dysfunction, and Palpatine was REALLY embarassed about his clone son.

There’s nothing within the film itself to at all hint toward Rey’s father being a clone rather than a regular son.
I mean showing there is some Palpatine clones being worked on in this edit is enough atleast, I think the current explanation is his son/clone wasn’t force sensitive so they cast him out and years later his daughter inherited Palpatine’s power.
There isn’t any indication whatsoever of that within the film itself. Kylo just says that he’s the son of the Emperor. He doesn’t even look like Palpatine. I don’t, in my head, consider him a failed clone because it seems really unnecessary.

This probably belongs in a Rise Of Skywalker edit ideas thread, but I wish someone could find a way to have Han, Luke and Leia in the same scene for at least a second of the sequel trilogy. Only way I can picture it working in TROS is Han watching Luke and Leia training for a second/shot on Ajan Kloss flashback.
Trailer tracks pacing don’t work over scenes at all, really wasn’t a fan when people tried to put trailer music over Rey vs Kylo feels super out of place. Trailer music is designed for quick flashy shots instead of fleshed out scenes.
Okay, so here’s this. We can certainly give Poe a line or two from video games or whatever, and add a few more hollers from people sending in audio.
Y’know, things like “let’s give 'em hell!” and “ASS!”
I still think that kid shouting “we believe in you Poe” is too loud, lol.
Looking at battle of Exegol sequences think it could work better to focus on Poe, Jannah and Finn taking down the star destroyer tower first instead of cutting back to Palpatine and Rey constantly, found a smooth way todo so Resistance stuff first then go to Rey and Palpatine with no cuts makes the scenes feel a lot longer and less choppy.
