In fact, I’ll take it a step further and say BOTH should’ve been closer to the novels.

That being said, I love the original Jurassic Park as is. If I had to rank it against all the sequels, it would be the order they were released. I believe each is worse than the last.

I was taking a look back at ‘The Bold One’ and began more and more to notice the inconsistent levels of contrast between scenes. Specifically the entire Mimban portion of the film. It almost, just almost, seems as if the original Reddit user had applied a heavy sharpening filter over that entire section. Can someone confirm this? I certainly hope it isn’t the case, but it would explain why that portion looks overly fake compared to the rest. I might even have to swap it out with the Bluray footage to use as a base.

I could probably write an essay with a word count in the thousands as to why I think this is the right change to make for me. Suffice to say, while Star Wars has always been a story with an epic scope, its always been rather grounded and focused in on the main characters and their stories. The Order 66 montage breaks that convention and tries to reach for some (in my opinion unearned) emotion that, in my version of ROTS, I don’t want to have that be a factor at this point in the story.

That would require additional footage of them that we don’t have. Whilst it would be cool, I like the idea that force ghosts manifest only in the presence of someone. They wouldn’t be standing there physically if no one was around.

I agree completely with all of the above… This is perfect. If I had never seen the original version I would have no doubt that this is real. Is there anything that Jonh can’t do?

Could we possibly have Ben tilt his head somewhat or some other kind of subtle movement? Leia and Luke seem more fluid and move slightly, whereas Ben seems kind of wooden. I still love what you’ve done with the face, hair and robe though! 😃
