Amadeus - Laserdisc+DVD Audio Tracks for 4K (formerly Theatrical Cut Restoration)

I’m pretty sure there’s more than a few people between this forum and Fanres that can capture LD AC3 just fine. We have LD AC3 captures of all the 1997 SW trilogy Special Edition 5.1 audio tracks, and the 1999 TPM 5.1 as well. If you were willing to lend your LD to someone with the equipment, I’m sure they’d be more than willing to capture it for you.

Yeah, it was supposed to be up tomorrow, but I guess something glitched out and they just went with it, so it’s up now.

The original season 4 is now in the “trailers and more” section, the “remix” has replaced it as the primary season 4 on Netflix.

JEDIT: And yes, I’m watching it on my phone at work. Shut up, it’s a slow day.

Two episodes into the “remixed” Arrested Development season 4. I’m enjoying it much more than the original version. Also it isn’t as strictly chronological as it was implied to be, which is a good thing as I think that would have actually made things more confusing, but it’s still more straightforward and includes more parallel storytelling.

I’m not familiar enough with the original season 4 to notice all the new jokes, but there are some - I particularly liked Ron Howard’s new explanation of how George Michael suddenly looks older.

What program do you guys use? I personally use DVD fab (paid) and they burn smoothly.

I assume DVDFab reencodes the video though, right? I’m trying to avoid doing that since the MKVs should already be Blu-ray compliant and I don’t want to lose quality.

But to answer your question, I use tsmuxer for authoring and imgburn for burning the resulting ISO or BDMV folder and have never had a problem with other BD-compliant MKV streams … just HAL’s. 😦

I’ve only seen Dune. It sucked, but I appreciated some of the style, so it didn’t ruin Lynch for me or anything.

Dune fails as a David Lynch movie and as an adaptation of the novel. It’s almost impressive.

Don’t let that put you off reading the book, or (assuming it’s good) seeing Denis Villeneuve’s upcoming adaptation when it materializes.

It’s long overdue for Peter Jackson-style big update.

Denis Villeneuve (director of Blade Runner 2049, Arrival, Sicario, etc.) is making the remake. Word is it’ll be two movies. I can’t wait!

why would you guys not listen to the beatles?? every single album from rubber soul to the end could very well be considered the greatest ever.

Hard disagree when it comes to The White Album, Let it Be, and Yellow Submarine. And I’m not the biggest Sgt. Pepper fan, but it’s objectively a great album, so…

well they barely considered yellow submarine an album like the rest, and let it be was never properly finished. the white album is close to perfect imo. sgt peppers too.

True about the first two, but the White Album is a jumbled mess of random shit because they were all at each other’s throats and couldn’t agree on whose songs should make it onto the album, so they just said fuck it and threw them all on.

It has some amazing work on it and could have been their best album by a mile if they’d pared it down to a single album instead of a double, and put (some of) the rest out as singles. As it stands, it’s bloated and unfocused.

How does Kim Wilde have that many albums?

I don’t imagine anyone could keep that pace up without exhausting their creativity.

the beatles

I’ve only listened to two of their albums, so I’ll have to take your word for it.

Oh, sweet zombie Jesus.

Go listen to Revolver and Abbey Road right now, you heathen.

Abbey Road is one of those two albums.

Alright, then make it Rubber Soul and Revolver.
