Info: How Many Versions are there of the AOTC?

The home video release of AOTC is across the board (on DVD/VHS/VCD), identical to the digital theatrical release on a visual level, as aforementioned. However, the initial home video release changes a few audio cues, the most notable being Padme’s “Yes” being changed to a more natural “Uh-huh” after falling out of the Republic Gunship.

Hmm. You’re suggesting that the “to be angry is to be human” segment was present in the digital theatrical release? Is there any evidence of this?

I’m seconding this question. It was widely reported as a change for the DVD when it was initially released, so it doesn’t seem like something that could be explained by faulty memories of the theatrical release like some of the OT “changes” people have misremembered over the years.

The Luke scene is very important. Rian’s excuses for cutting it make no sense.

I missed why you’re opposed to cutting to Leia as was intended?

Cutting to Leia would dictate that I would need to cut back to Luke and Rey before the fleet is attacked. Without committing to re-adding 2 or 3 deleted scenes that all rely on each other, that would make for a very quick, abrupt transition back to the island.

This is part of the reason I advocate for a restructuring to include most of the deleted first act Finn stuff - it makes it easier to keep the Luke scene, and helps balance the film with so little Canto Bight and, by extension, so little Finn.

Duracell, I must say that your favorite and least favorites for Revolver would be switched for me.

I wouldn’t put “I’m Only Sleeping” as my favorite, but “Yellow Submarine” is definitely the worst.

Fup ur. fup ur al

To be fair, I’m Only Sleeping isn’t the best song on the album, but it’s far from the worst.

It also became a running joke among my friends in college that it was my theme song, so I have a bit more of a connection to it than most.

It’s a female lead singer and lead guitarist that have been playing together since they were teenagers, with dudes on bass and drums. They’re kind of punk-ish, mostly-hard rock, and Emily (lead singer) has some pipes on her. Kind of sounds like if Janis Joplin was in a band that was transitioning either into or out of a punk phase? I dunno, I’m bad at describing music.

Here’s their most well-known song, “Weatherman.” From the first (self-titled) album.

Just for you, Frink (and I guess Dom too?) I’m going to try to sum up the show as best I can:

200 years from now, humanity has conquered the Solar System. The United Nations on Earth and the Martian Congressional Republic on Mars are the two main powers in the system, each one hoping for dominant control over the other, while the settlers in the Asteroid Belt and moons of the Outer Planets are used and oppressed by both sides for the resources of the Belt, upon which both Earth and Mars depend for survival. As the Belters begin to coalesce and unite under the various factions of the Outer Planets Alliance (seen as a terrorist group by both Earth and Mars), a tragedy on a Belter ice hauling vessel Canterbury starts to bring the already built-up tensions across the system to a boil, while a Ceres Station police officer’s investigation into the disappearance of a well-connected Earth woman with ties to Belt sympathizers brings connections to the Canterbury incident to light. Both the survivors of the Canterbury (James Holden and his crewmates) and Detective Miller start to untangle a web of conspiracy and race to prevent a system-wide war, while an existential threat to all of humanity lurks behind it all…

I can’t take the time to read all that, can you just import the show directly to my brain?

😒
