STAR WARS: EP IV 2004 REVISITED ADYWAN *1080p HD VERSION NOW IN PRODUCTION

I just had this thought when I was watching ANH:R last night. I understand that you are going to be changing some things between the current form of ANH:R and what will become ANH:R HD. Now what follows isn’t supposed to be inflammatory it was just a thought that I found interesting.

Would you consider the fact that you are tweaking with your version of ANH:R to be almost akin to the way Lucas tweaked with the standard ANH. We’re coming upon the same dilemma where the original ANH:R will not be available in an HD format, just like the OUT is not available in HD formats. You changed your mind about some decisions that were made and want this new HD version to be the definitive version of the films, yet there are people (like me) that would just like to see the current ANH:R but in HD.

I’m not sure this equates completely, but I feel like you could understand Lucas’s mindset on why the Special Editions exist in the first place. I also recall a popular argument for why the Special Editions are bad is because they supersede the Original Versions. That same thing is now going to happen with ANH:R. I’m not trying to be accusatory, I just thought this was something as a community that we could discuss.

This sort of updating editorial choices while upgrading visual or audio quality is fairly common in the fan editing world, though. I don’t see it as quite the same thing, personally.

Episode IX: The Rise Of Skywalker - Discussion * SPOILER THREAD *

I saw a thread on another forum yesterday suggesting that maybe they’ll use the scrapped warhammer subplot from TFA to integrate Leia. It wasn’t a leak or rumor, just conjecture, but it makes sense.

That would imply that they filmed any of that material, which I seriously doubt ever got out of early script stage, if it even got that far.

I’m glad you enjoyed the episode, but… there was also that one scene in The End of Time where the Doctor freefalled several hundred feet, crashed through a glass ceiling, and was still well enough to aim a gun…

And there was also the one scene in Logopolis where falling from a telescope injured the Doctor enough to cause a regeneration.

its like they make this stuff up as they go along.

True, unfortunately consistency is not one of Dr. Who’s strong points.

I didn’t know Mrs. Lincoln watched Doctor Who.

Get out.

Chill

Start using it in the right contexts then. Or better yet, stop using it at all. Either way, stop cluttering up threads with the same thing over and over again.

Get Good Re-Edit of The Last Jedi (Released)

Isaac, you can’t link that either, you’re just hiding a full movie link behind a Reddit link.

Describe your edit and some of your intentions, maybe post some short clips from it on YouTube or Vimeo and link them here for feedback, and distribute links to the full film only through private messages to people who ask for them.

It’s not that we’re trying to be mean, but the rules are in place so that the site doesn’t get a target on its back from the authorities.

The Phantom Menace - Bobson's Theatrical Recontruction v2 (WIP)
Time

Since you’re using the BR as a base, are you replacing CGI Yoda with Puppet Yoda, or is this going to be the theatrical edit with CGI Yoda (something I’d actually be interested in believe it or not)?

*JEDIT: Not to say I’m not interested if you’re keeping Puppet Yoda, I’ve just been toying with the idea of confirming the BR with its visual changes to the theatrical cut for a while now, something no one else seems to have considered.

But it is important to figure out how to go about doing something to get the best result.

I couldn’t agree more.

I am both identifying a problem and finding a solution of how to handle none of which anyone has any input in apart from calibrate your monitor guff

But…calibrating your monitor is literally the first and most important step in figuring out how to go about fixing color issues!

Fuck it. I’m done. You keep doing…whatever it is you think you’re doing.
