Based on the information that has just been provided a question comes to mind. How many different negative prints are there? I ask because it sounds like there are at least 5-8. The ones I know of are the technicolour print, the ones for 4K77,4K83, the ones used by Pugo

Ah, okay, I assumed you were rendering out the video with your black and white grading applied and releasing it. Or releasing a LUT so others could apply your grading to the film themselves.

I’d say 4K83’s colors (ignoring contrast/black levels for now) aren’t “off” at all, they just seem that way because we’ve all gotten used to a certain “look” for ROTJ through all the home video releases.
