Yep.
This user has been banned.
Yep.
Apparently it contains all the extra roadshow cut footage, plus more on top of that.
It’s not the roadshow cut, guys. It’s a new “miniseries” edit in 4 episodes. It might be able to be edited to conform to the roadshow cut if we have a solid bootleg reference of that version, though. I dunno.
Yeah, right now my go to’s are 4K77 for SW, 4K83 for ROTJ, and Harmy for ESB since 4K80 isn’t done yet and the Grindhouse/Dreamastered 35mm version isn’t the best looking to me.
Even if you’re sticking with 1080p, the 4K77/4K83 releases are excellent. Though I’d probably wait for 4K77 SkyMaster Edition for 1080p SW, and the forthcoming Sanjuro-graded DNR 4K83 for ROTJ.
For 4K, get the no-DNR Sanjuro graded ones if you can (though be prepared for SW to be grainier than you remember).
That’s why I don’t have an issue with this scene apart from the inconsistency when compared to the OT - it feels like an almost necessary change for modern audiences. The immediate Force abilities on the other hand…
Yes, and I think this goes back to my perspective that the Force plays a more active role in this trilogy. If you dropped Rey into the prequels or the original trilogy, I don’t think Rey’s abilities would be as significant as they are in the Sequel Trilogy.
I know some people don’t like the idea of a dynamic Force, some people see the Force as more of a “what” than a “who”, but I don’t think you have to think of the Force as a conscious entity. You could interpret the Force as like the immune system of the galaxy, or how an ecosystem adapts to drastic changes in the environment. Just my two cents though.
Yup, this is very much how I’ve been interpreting it in the ST.
I mean…is that supposed to make me okay with using the wrong pictures on the wrong posters? He’s at least wearing the right costume.
I also noticed Han in ROTJ is another ANH photo.
She’s probably played around in the cockpit and such, being a tinkerer. It’s possible she flew it once years before, or has in a simulator, but she does say “That thing hasn’t flown in years!” She might also say that she’s never flown it herself right before or after that, I can’t recall and am at work so can’t check.
Let’s see…
Somewhere along the line I bought the TCW movie and S1-5 box set, but I loaned that to someone and haven’t gotten it back in a year or two. A little upset about that, especially given how much the movie on BR goes for. Hoping for a full box set after S7 comes out.
Haven’t bought any Rebels DVD/BRs at all. Was pissed when they were still 1.78:1 while the TCW discs were opened up to 2.39:1 for home video. Will get Rebels discs if I ever want to do an edit, or if someone does one that seems interesting, but for now my digital copies are good enough.
Wasn’t it said or implied she had flown the Falcon before, or did I hallucinate that?
No, she specifically states that the Falcon hasn’t flown in years.
So this thread is just meant to be an echo chamber without meaningful discussion? Also, how about don’t police threads you didn’t create?
The ESB one bugs me. Han is from ANH, Leia is from ROTJ.
Also I don’t like that they recreate the prequel posters precisely, down to the same layout of characters, rather than try to make a new poster in the same style.
DVD combos seem to be falling out of fashion these days in favor of digital download codes. All the 4K stuff I’ve seen for sale only includes a Blu-Ray as it is.
There’s also this possibility (this is what my TLJ and Solo 4K sets are):
Disc 1: 4K
Disc 2: Blu-ray
Disc 3: Blu-Ray bonus featuresCould easily just be SE in this case too.
If these rumors have any truth to them, I’m 95% sure this will be exactly it.
Why they made the Ewoks blink but left Yoda’s eyes like that is beyond me.
You realize this is a joke thread.
I think the season 6 thing was a mistake.
And I don’t have a source (also haven’t watched the panel), but what I’ve heard is:
Apparently they only got enough money for 8 new episodes, but used some of it to finish those 4 too, or something like that.
Presumably in order to give more of a “full” season.
I’d explain the joke in my initial reply, but that would ruin it when it wasn’t that great of one to begin with.
I…um…okay.
My advice to anyone with an EA game: do not buy until the reviews come out and the inevitable controversy leaks.
They always make the game seem perfect, then comes launch. I didn’t buy Battlefront 2 until after they confirmed a change in micro transactions. I bought it not feeling ripped off.
Likewise I chose to skip on BFV following their controversy.
Well, that can be said about new EA games. Old games that EA doesn’t really put out anymore I would say are safe to buy.
I don’t know about you, but I always wait for the reviews to come in before I buy an old game.

Sadly, he isn’t finishing the series out after encountering some misfortunes, but I’ve been thinking about doing my own version of this myself one day.
But did they officially announce an appearance in the film itself from that person?
Yes.
Except they didn’t, because that person literally just said in an interview that they aren’t in it.
I’m confused, because it seems to me like the linked trailer is exactly what you’re describing in your OP, but then you say that’s not it…?
It’s definitely the same first teaser that I scrutinized for days on end as a 9 year old on my parents’ shitty dialup connection.
TFA was almost called Shadow of the Empire.
I don’t mind reusing Legends titles honestly, but repeated titles in canon would be awkward.
Ron Howard probably wasn’t deep enough into the material to know if it was a good idea or not. If he shot the Maul footage in the first place.
Peter Serafinowicz(sp?) was on a podcast recently where he talked about recording lines for Maul for Solo, and he said Ron Howard talked with him for like an hour about where Maul was at this point in his life, and his motivations and such. It was before they shot Ray Park’s live action portion - Park performed to Serafinowicz’s performance.
Then the powers that be decided to go with Sam Witwer instead for more continuity with the animated Maul, and Serafinowicz wasn’t told until after the premiere that his VO had been cut.
So Howard is who shot the Maul stuff.
It takes a while to get good, but once it does it gets really good. Check out season 2’s Landing at Point Rain for an early example of how good the show can be.
Annoyed that 4 of the 12 episodes are ones we’ve already seen before (they finished the Bad Batch story reels). Apparently they only got enough money for 8 new episodes, but used some of it to finish those 4 too, or something like that.
If they were gonna make 1/3 of the new season stuff we’ve already gotten, it should’ve been Son of Dathomir, which is a pretty important bridge from The Lawless to Siege of Mandalore, and is only available as a hard to find graphic novel.
