What do you look like?
Time

It’s just that I don’t have very many pictures of me on my computer at all, and that one’s shrunk down a hell of a lot for Xanga - at full size it’s 2304x1768. Any pictures of me are sent through friends via email or MSN - I don’t have a digital camera, I prefer my 35mm manual, and I don’t like scanning pictures as I’m too damn lazy.

Second-best pic of me that’s even older - about three years old this time - and when I had long, bad-looking hair:

"Sgt. Pepper's may be relased on CD but it will be a crappy rip from the original recordings. Sorry, no remastering." The fans say, "Why even bother then?!?" and are disappointed yet again.

A few months pass...
Nineteen years have passed, and we're still waiting for EMI to do justice to The Beatles' catalog.
Those commercial CDs are crappy rips.
That's why guys like Dr. Ebbetts are playing the "X0" role with ultra-high-end turntables and pristine vinyl and getting better results than the official CDs.

Yeah right after I posted that I thought, "That was probably a bad example." LOL

Not to derail the thread, but ... what exactly is wrong with the current discs' mastering? Pardon my ignorance, but I hear this a lot and it puzzles me - mind you that I've only ever heard the CD mixes and/or what's on the radio.

Nightmares & Dreamscapes
Time
Did anyone watch the premiere of TNT's "Nightmares & Dreamscapes" miniseries? It's an 8-episode anthology series, each episode based on a different Stephen King short story. They're showing 2 a week, Wednesday nights.

Last night they did "Battleground" and "Crouch End." "Battleground" was probably the best King adaptation I've seen on TV, it was just brilliant ... but "Crouch End" wasn't particularly good.

Anyone else watching this?

Sergio Leone Preservations - Dollars Trilogy, Fistful of Dynamite, Once Upon a Time in the West (Released)
Time
I'd like to see complete, uncut versions of FISTFUL, FAFDM, and TGTBATU in original Italian with English subtitles (preferably the Italian titles/credits as well) in NTSC - does anyone have anything like this? It seems like most of these projects are using other foreign dubs besides the "original" Italian.

I also noticed that in the trash compactor sequence, the complete music background was removed on the 2004 SE from the point on where they hear the roar until the point Luke is released by the monster. It is also present on the German dub. Some other guy told me that the 1993 definite edition LAserdiscs also don´t have this background music.

All German releases excluding the 2004 editions seem to match the original mono mix. That´s why i was really puzzled, when i heard the english audio on the 2004 SE that some sound effects were radically different.

I don't remember music EVER appearing in this scene ...
