That was apparently supposed to be the point but it wasn’t communicated well at all.

Woo, V2! Will definitely be grabbing this when I get home from work tonight.
Never noticed anything about Ewan’s weight in TPM personally. And the “Noooo” has been essentially solved by other editors by using the Japanese or Russian dubs for that moment (which are more wordless cries of anguish than anything).
He didn’t do them himself (I think it was DrDre), but there are several scenes that simply aren’t finished enough to use. I can’t recall which ones aren’t included in Hal’s upscaled pack and which ones aren’t, though - it’s possible that some of the finished ones aren’t included.
My current headcanon is the Mando group we’re following in The Mandalorian is a particularly fanatical group, and most Mandos in the Galaxy don’t follow all their ancient traditions so slavishly.
I’m wondering if the main character will come across another Mando group later in the season/series that freely removes their helmets and loosens up on this, which would then be the first time we see Pascal’s face on the show.
V1.0 = color (mostly) white balanced to sprocket holes on the scan
V1.4 = applies Sanjuro’s color grade and (I think) includes an updated 4K scan of the crawl (which was a 1080p upscale in V1.0).
Do you plan on removing any reference or mention of Han being a smuggler again in The Force Awakens? It goes against all of his character development in the original trilogy.
Do you plan on making an edit yourself so you can stop spamming other people’s edit threads with random requests for editors to make extremely specific changes just for you? Or maybe just keeping these “suggestions” to the general “ideas” threads?

Series 12 premiere date is officially January 1, 2020. Guess I’ll finish my rewatch…
This is intriguing! There aren’t enough ROTJ edits out there, honestly. Really excited to see how you plan to tackle the later chunks of the movie!
looks at Hal’s cutlist
it’s exactly the same as what I’d planned to do eventually
Well, that’s one thing checked off my list! Looking forward to checking it out.
Does that mean a new version is coming soon?
Adywan has said he will not be doing any more edits after RotJ:R and ANH:R HD.
And that has nothing to do with the question of an update to ESB:R to fix a technical error. Especially when it’s known that a Blu-Ray ISO release is already happening at some point down the road.
Release order with the Episodes, save the spinoffs for later. That’s the only logical order with the sequel trilogy these days.
The Episode II torrent is likely V5 or possibly earlier, then.
Ooh, that’s a good one, I forgot all about that.
Ah okay, I wasn’t sure if .info had the Drive link(s) or something different.
That isn’t Dre’s grade, it’s a quick adjustment of Sanjuro’s. Dre’s grade is a shot-by-shot one that’s been in the works for quite a while.
I was under the impression they’d have the version numbers in the file names, but I might be mistaken. Hal, did you put version numbers in the credits or anything like that?
Info probably has older versions, FYI. But I stand by V5 of Episode II being superior to V6, so that might not be a bad thing depending on how attached you are to the droid factory and Dex’s diner sequences (both are cut from V5 but present - though edited down - in V6)
What are you using to play it? Some players can’t deal with the DTS-HD MA audio that the primary tracks are encoded in, so it might be defaulting to one of the non-English Dolby Digital tracks.
Try changing the audio track and seeing what shows up, or trying a different player - if you’re using a software player on your computer, something like Windows Media Player is not ideal, I’d recommend either MPC-HC or VLC (others have recommended MPV, but I haven’t used that one myself so can’t comment on it).
You should also be able to put the MKV file on a flash drive and plug it into your Blu-Ray player, or the USB port in your TV and play it directly that way. BR player should read DTS-HD MA just fine, the TV option is less certain. I don’t know about Xbox’s capabilities, but I know the PS4 doesn’t support DTS on MKV/MP4 video files.
I believe that’s the plan, once Dre is finished with his regrade.
Pretty sure it’s right before the door explodes, but I’m not positive.
ANH and ESB use the same Fox logo; ROTJ used the newer 80s one. I don’t know about the LFL logo.
I mostly liked TLJ, and I like Johnson’s other work.
But Hawley > Johnson any day of the week.
…damn it, now I really wanna watch Legion again.
