…it’ll run parallel to the next sequel trilogy…
Nah, no way. This is what’s going to replace the trilogy format while they take a break from the Skywalker saga to keep it a generational thing. It’ll be:
- 2015: Episode VII
- 2016: Rogue One
- 2017: Episode VIII
- 2018: Solo
- 2019: Episode IX
- 2020: Kenobi
- 2021: Johnson I
- 2022: Anthology
- 2023: Johnson II
- 2024: Anthology
- 2025: Johnson III
- 2026: Anthology
- 2027: Episode X (just in time for the 50th anniversary)
- 2028: Anthology
- 2029: Episode XI
- 2030: Anthology
- 2031: Episode XII
- 2032: Anthology
- 2033: Side trilogy B-I
- 2034: Anthology
- 2035: Side trilogy B-II
- 2036: Anthology
- 2037: Side trilogy B-III
- 2038: Anthology
- 2039: Episode XIII
And so on until the end of time.
I’d be shocked if they break from this pattern outside of taking a year off, but I’d also be shocked if they don’t want the 50th anniversary year to kick off the second sequel trilogy (aka Episode X-XII).
