Sometimes I’ll forget about the age gap between me and a lot of other members on this site, but then someone will say something lame or post an old meme or something and I realise I’m basically hanging out with a bunch of thirty to forty year olds. No disrespect.

Hey, just because today’s my birthday doesn’t mean I’m old, I’m only…

Oh no. I’m 29 now. I’m only one year away from getting old.

Send help.

Ooh, the Land Before Time one was a good guess. It’s been a while since I thought of that.

Like…when you were a kid?

Hey, the first one holds up no matter how old you are.

The 600 sequels, however…

This!!!

Truly, this is probably the first movie I remember seeing in the theater, and it really does hold a soft spot in my heart.

It’s a little before my “theater age” time, but I wore out our VHS copy almost as badly as Empire and Jedi.

Look…Rogue One was very good. And Frozen, for what it was (kids movie), was good.

But you’ve gone from Firefly to Rogue One to Frozen. Next you’ll post a Transformers: Dark of the Moon gif.

Fixed.

Where to find one?

Impressive…but next you’ll post a Frasier gif.

Nah. I’m done with this game.

_ender and I are no longer friends.

We’re not enemies yet, though. He’d have to post one of two other gifs (they’re non-Firefly or -Tudyk related) for that to happen.

…and that’s how I accidentally started the “Let’s figure out which other movie/TV gifs upset Ash” game…

OOT vhs box set? (answer: an OT VHS box set from 2000; the 1997 Special Editions)

Yeah I remember this set being asked about not so long ago. I guess because it was when they stopped calling it “The Special Edition”.

Yep. I owned this set and remember being disappointed that it was the SE. They came out after TPM on VHS, with the box art designed to match the TPM (and later AOTC) art, episode numbers and all.

Clone Wars Trilogy (tv to movie edit) - previews available (* unfinished project *)

Umbara arc barely has Anakin in it.

Yes but they constantly talk about Anakin and how great he is. Also Umbara makes you feel for the clones. Why can’t it be a subplot while anakin is searching for Ashoka

Too much screentime, and screentime is at a premium when you’re editing 6 seasons down into three 2-hour movies.

Look, the Umbara arc is great, possibly the best of the series, but it doesn’t fit if you’re trying to make a trilogy between II and III that sets up Obi-Wan and Anakin’s relationship, Anakin’s distrust of the Jedi and jealousy around Padme, and explains important things not elaborated on in the films like Sifo-Dyas and Force ghosts.

If the idea were to do more than three movies? Sure, Umbara would be a good choice. But there’s just not enough time to include something that’s just a distraction from the primary goals of the edit(s).

The Place to Go for Emotional Support

Holy shit, I’m sorry man. Take it from me, it’s easy to turn such a negative experience and just dive head first into more negative thoughts and behaviors, but these things can also work the opposite way - use the pain to improve yourself rather than as an excuse to sink deeper down.

It sounds to me like that’s exactly what you’re doing. You got this, man. Stay strong.

I used to think the probe-droid in ESB kept saying “needing assistance” in the scene where Leia and C-3PO listens to the message/code it broadcasts to the Empire. It’s just electronic gibberish, but I still think it sounds kind if similar.

I always hear “failure at the cave” in the second part, after the part you guys hear as “in need of assistance.”

Nirvana is overrated.

Five Finger Death Puncher confirmed.

ALLOL

Is that some American expression I’m not familiar with?? (Not allol, but five finger death puncher)

Not American, just Interntian. Actual Literal Laugh Out Loud.

Read the post you quoted again.

That actually was a useful comment to me, I somehow never knew what ALLOL stood for. I assumed it was an OT inside joke like JEDIT, but one I missed out on.
