Arthur Jones is a racist, denies the Holocaust happened, and will likely be the only Republican on the ballot for a Chicago-area congressional seat in November.
The state GOP has denounced Jones and his candidacy, but says it had no way to stop him.

Moon is one of my all-time favorites. Source Code was decent, but not amazing. Haven’t seen Warcraft and don’t intend to (never got into the games at all, so it just looks like a confusing mess of lore I don’t understand to me). Looking forward to Mute.

I was looking for fan edits of the prequels after hearing of the Phantom Edit and stumbled across this place and LD preservations of the OOT. Then I discovered the custom DVD art section, and custom DVD art was a hobby of mine already, so I spent most of my time in there, and eventually I just kinda stuck around.
Honestly, if it wasn’t for the custom art section, I might have popped in, found the edits and preservations I was looking for, and never come back.
Instead that got me to stick around, and I tumbled into the rabbit hole of fan edits and preservations, never to return…

And every time an upcoming movie is discussed, everybody is floating these goofy fan-fiction level ideas or things that have been said a thousand times before.

Ugh, this is so fucking accurate.
It’s very subreddit dependent. Some subs turn a blind eye to piracy, some have an iron fist against it, some exist entirely to promote it.
Most specific movie, TV show, or video game centered subreddits frown upon the suggestion of piracy at best or throw out bans left and right at the merest hint of it at worst, though.
Despecialized is GOUT synced already, and he’s just doing audio tracks for others to mux into whichever version they want, so the answer would be neither and both at the same time.
Whatever. I’m not a Reddit hater like some here, it’s where I spend most of my non-OT internet browsing time, but fuck the Star Wars subreddit. Elitist assholes.

I’ve gotten warnings there for merely discussing the existence of fan edits or Despecialized…apparently those constitute “pirated material” in their eyes.
I’m super glad you’re doing this, as it was something I myself wanted to do! Sounds like you’re taking great care to make it as “authentic” as possible.
If you want DTS encodes of these when you’re done like I did for your PT V5, let me know, I’ve got that whole process much more streamlined now. (Not sure that DTS-HD MA would be worthwhile as theatrical DTS is lower bitrate than standard DTS, correct?)

I love the books, don’t get me wrong. My post wasn’t meant to be seen as critical. Just an observation that they’re more military sci-fi than space opera, and because they were good and well received, the majority of future EU books continued this trend.
I mean, did you really expect high quality political discourse in the off topic section of a Star Wars forum?

The only thing I’ve done is posted my reactions after watching this movie. I was critical of the movie, yes. But my take is very in line with what many other people in this forum are posting.
Forum rules:

I also received no temporary ban. Just an unexpected ban after I posted a critical take of the movie.
I had no idea I was in danger of being banned.

I did absolutely nothing to harass members, or personal attacks, or slurs.
I only opened a second account so I could post about a star wars movie. I would have used my main account, had it not been banned. If I had any way to contest the ban, or come back after a temporary ban, I would have just done that rather than create a new account. This is not “sock puppetry”.
Again, I’m not trolling. I’m just posting my thoughts after watching a movie.
I would like to keep doing that occasionally, without immediately being banned. My posts above are not deserving of a ban.

You were banned for making a sock account to get around being temp banned on your “first avatar,” as you called it.
Making a second sock? You’re just asking to be permabanned. Sock accounts are not allowed, whether it’s to skirt a ban or not.
And yes, making a new account to post after your main account is banned is 100% sock puppetry. You could have emailed one of the mods or Jay to hash this out instead of digging yourself a deeper hole.
